VIDEO: Nayarit sierras, CJNG "caravan of vigilance"

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat from Sinbargo ..thank you Tully

The Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) has become a furious threatening criminal power, militarized, in just a few years. The cartel appeared in the middle of Felipe Calderón's government (2009), when it was founded by Erick Valencia, alias "El 85", and Nemesio Oseguera Ramos, aka "El Mencho".

But during the administration of Enrique Peña Nieto it became a force of such size that it ended up gaining ground to the Sinaloa Cartel - from where it split - especially after the apprehension of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán.

The person who captured the video walks for more than two minutes next to the caravan and shows the power of the presumed members of the CJNG, while the men greet him and smile at the camera.

Today, in the morning, the federal government arrested a member of the Jalisco Cartel, linked to the murder of three Italians. And also today, the same criminal group seemed to respond, with a video showing their power.

It is an army, with uniforms, vehicles, bulletproof vests and heavy weapons. These are members of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG),  a caravan of vigilance over the Sierra de Nayarit. Mounted in a vehicle, an M82 appears, the high-powered rifle they call "Caliber 50" or "Matapolicías".

  2. and just think, the incoming socialist wants to cancel orders with the USA for high powered technology weaponry and blackhawk helicopters. Mexico will become a full narcostate soon enough.

    1. 2:52 high technology and 'merican helicopters did not win wars in vietnam, laos, cambodia, iraq, iran, palestinia, Syria Jordan or lebanon, or nicaragua, El salvador, honduras, Guatemala and mexico, (just for starters)...

    2. @6:37AM, Actually it DID win Vietnam, there was already a peace treaty signed. It was Congress' refusal to provide the agreed on aid to the allied Vietnamese government that resulted in their overrun and takeover by the Vietcong. The sitting Congress when the treaty was signed lost control and the newly elected group didn't want to pay for the supplies.

In the end though, you are partially correct. Technology won't win the war, without the willingness to use it. No western-based country has been possessed of that will since WW2 (except Israel, and even they hold themselves back a lot). The "problem" with western countries is that we hamstring ourselves because we have attempt to hold ourselves to a moral code.

The cartels have no such restrictions, and the Mexican government is unwilling because many of them are complicit...

    1. There’s a group of civilians whose sole purpose is the delivery of food for these guys. Civilians that have either been enslaved to work or actual members of the cartel. Mainly they carry tuna or other generic foods. Every so often certain foods are asked for and delivered. Logistics are figured in ahead of time. In the event that the delivery crew gets pulled over. A clave (code) is said to ensure delivery is made. Granted that everyone is on the same page everything normally runs as planned. An example of said code is as follows: Llevamos comida para los monitos verdes. Which means: We are delivering food for the little green men. This is an actual code that has been used for years by operators, civilians, and federal forces throughout Mexico.

Mexico does not have trillions of dollars to spend on anymore weapons, but the US still may try to impose the deal with money from the US treasury to subsidize the deal and have some more military commissions to cash on later, some people got like 150 million dollars after selling about 350 billions of weapons and planes to the Saudis and UAE (advised by erik prince, now a consultant to the chinese and the russians) to do war on impoverished Yemen and Somalia, and prolly Qatar for not investing in 666 5th Ave business nightmare...

  26. Damn reminds me of the 2010-2011 days when every cartel was funded with weapons, vehicles and had man power like these guys, now its more like small platoons of guys that move from town to town. These guys definitely dont look like your poor mal nourished dark and short sicarios like you see in Guerrero veracruz areas. Im suprised they can still get those type of people as sicarios, after years of people getting slaughtered in mexico you’d think nobody would want to join.

    ReplyDelete

    1. In most cases those “poor malnourished dark and short” sicarios are the ones that do the dirty work without any questions asked or 2nd thoughts. Most of the Original Zetas would fit that criteria. So was Chapós most effective head of sicarios in El Bravo Aponte. Tall and well fed doesn’t really mean much.

Just like that 2 hour shootout in Tanhuato Michoacan that happen in 2015. The PFP Used the blackhawk chopper to finished them all. I heard that only like a few of cjng surrendered but got executed. Their was more then 60 man that got away. 42 cjng + 1 PFP were killed in that shootout. Only 2 of the cjng surrendered. The point is no matter how well armed they are. The armed forces will still take them down. They have high caliber weapons but not the technology that the armed forces has.

    1. Your last sentence pretty much sums it all up. If a Cartel had a Blackhawk chopper and mini gun, Mexico would really be fucked. My theory is that the politicos want the crime and war between the Cartels anyways. They profit from war. The governments of all nations know drugs will NEVER cease to be consumed. So they monetized it for themselves. Business men and women in suits run the game not those “narcos” they want us to hate. Just my .02
