12 killed in overnight in the embattled Guanajuato

Armed men perpetrated attacks during the night of yesterday in four municipalities leaving  12 people dead, including a child under 10 years of age.

The attacks occurred in Apaseo El Alto, where 6 victims are reported; Salamanca records 3 people dead; Irapuato, two and León, one.

In Salamanca, a family was attacked with bullets by armed individuals in the community of La Capilla. A couple and their 10-year-old son killed.

Despite the fact that an operation was set up with the participation of elements of the Army, the aggressors fled.

In the community of Mandujano, in the municipality of Apaseo El Alto, there was reported a confrontation between armed groups that left 6 dead.

According to a police report, during the shooting two subjects were shot on board a truck and others gunned down a few meters ahead.

Elements of the Military Police, Public Security Forces of the State and ministerial agents installed checkpoints in the access to the community after the confrontation.

Meanwhile, in Irapuato, two brothers were attacked with bullets outside a tire shop located in Colonia Bajada San Martín.

The victims arrived to change a tire of their vehicle, when  armed individuals aboard a truck  attacked them.

In León, a man identified with the nickname "El Moy" was shot dead in Colonia Chapalita.

The victim was ambushed by two men while walking down the Campestre Boulevard.
