DeleteThat was my first reaction too, but if you think about it we have been seeing this from CJNG since their beginning. Announcing they have arrived. Usually saying they are coming to 'clean the plaza'. Probably a psychological tactic to put fear into rivals. Remember Mata zetas announcing going into Veracruz? It's how they do their thing. So maybe it is real? I can't find anymore references to this online though.

CJNG have some of the best graphic designers working for them drafting some of the best mantas money can buy made with the best tecnología silicon valley has to offer. DeleteCJNG hold no influence in the Northern States, Sonora/Durango have and will continue to be Sinaloa's primary support states. The only expansion CJNG can do without suffering major casualties is heading south which they have been doing, no one cares about the south. Only them apparently.

Being only them expanding south with the least casualties as u say it, that sounds like a great idea to me, a smart idea while being a new cartel and knowing that going north would be suicidal, and that worked like a charm, while the north was a battlefield to those that wanted the border, the south with its ports that open the doors to new markets was widely available with little resistance and thats what made them the most powerful cartel, the richest cartel and fastes growimg cartel in such a fast time!.

If your product is homemade such as synthetic drugs then you are correct, you dont need the south.
