In a month more than 300 bodies unearthed
Since yesterday
afternoon, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) together with the Jalisco
Institute of Forensic Sciences (IJCF) are working on a farm in Tonalá, where 16
bodies have been found in two clandestine graves, including 14 men and two
women .
Work continues in another
grave where at least 8 bodies are buried.
This is the first
discovery of clandestine “fosas” in this municipality, however, already 75
bodies that have been located in fosas of abandoned houses in other
municipalities such as Guadalajara, El Salto, Juanacatlán, and Tlajomulco.
According to the
director of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences (IJCF), Carlos Barba
Rodríguez, from September 18 to October 15th 300+ corpses have been
exhumed.
Quite sure this is only but a small fraction of remains to be found in Mexico.
ReplyDeleteCurious to know what's the actual number of those who have yet to be found? Not in reference to missing persons reports. Many are not even reported missing.
