Derived by a report of the theft of a truck loaded with beer, the elements of the Michoacán Police activated an operative for the search and location. ReplyDeleteThe reason I posted this “non news” story is it is , unfortunately, another sad reality in Mexico. A delivery gone awry, doesn’t even tell us what happened to the legitimate delivery driver. I know small business people that stock their stores / tiendas themselves; in one case THE ONLY tienda in a small village in which everyone depends.........he is a super hard worker and he can barely make his town run for stock without fear of being robbed and / or held up. He cannot even make a one day turn around often, if he gets hung up in town he stays overnight because he won’t drive back to the rural village at night. This is NOT in the most dangerous parts of Mexico, but those lines are becoming ever more blurred .

The “ news” , to me anyway, is not just about big bad narco guys but their effect on society as a whole.
