Leonardo Bravo, Gro. At
least seven civilians killed and several wounded, in addition to 20 houses shot
at, one of them burned and 30 vehicles shot at, was the balance of the
incursion of three thousand members of the Community Police Front of the State
of Guerrero (FPEG), to the community of Filo de Caballos, municipality of
Leonardo Bravo, located in the Sierra Madre del Sur.
In an interview,
Humberto Moreno Catalán, coordinator of the Community Police of Heliodoro
Castillo, explained that the taking of Filo de Caballos, was achieved after
more than four hours of confrontation with about one hundred armed civilians.
He said there was a
prior agreement to hold a meeting with eight commissioners "but when our
delegation was going to enter Filo de Caballos, we were greeted with bullets.”
He recalled that the
objective of the operation is "to achieve the pacification of the people
of the mountains, and the free transit from Tlacotepec to Casa Verde, because
for a year there is no path to reach Chilpancingo. The teachers could not
arrive, and there were no classes, nor the doctors could give consultations,
nor was there any commerce. "
