Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.- The reporter Juan Francisco Aviles Melgosa, who had been reported missing on Wednesday afternoon in Los Cabos, was found safe and sound this Thursday, he confirmed to the Attorney General's Office of the State (PGJE).
The reporter of the radio media "El Jitomatazo" who was reported as missing by his wife after having lost contact with him for several hours, was located after the PGJE activated the established search protocols.
When located near his home he was transported to the offices of Public Security officials. The officials pronounced Aviles Melgosa, is in good health, and "refers to having no need for medical services," the agency added.
A clerk at the nearby OXXO store confirmed that Juan Francisco had mentioned to him that he had to make a trip to La Paz while helping a friend with car problems. His cellphone battery apparently ran down and he failed to communicate his whereabouts to his frantic wife.
According to the established protocols, the PGJE began the search for that person, who concluded with his location, in good health, referring to having no need for medical services.
The PGJE reaffirms its commitment to carry out actions that give certainty to the Rule of Law for the benefit of the people of Baja California.
