450 Troops Ordered to Chihuahua

The main task is to regain control of the country's security, through the 150 coordinations that have been established in different states.

An approximate group of 450 elements of the Secretariat of National Defense, are those who arrived in the state of Chihuahua, to collaborate with the security tasks, under the instruction of the new President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who deployed elements in 150 to the so-called "regional entities".

In Chihuahua, 10 military links were installed in the municipalities of Chihuahua, Cuauhtémoc, Delicias, Parral, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Juárez, Ojinaga, Guachochi, Guerrero and Urique, from where the security works and strategies of the entity will be coordinated, in collaboration of the Secretariat of the Navy and Federal Police.

This was confirmed by 4 colonels in charge of the same number of municipalities in the state, who are representing each of the links and leading the security strategies in coordination with some federal authorities and soon with the state authorities and finally with the municipalities where these new links are located.

The main task is to regain control of the country's security, through the 150 coordinations that have been established in different states, where about 35,745 elements will be participating, which are composed of elements of the Military, Naval and Federal Police .

While for Chihuahua, at least 300 elements are contemplated by the well-known Military Police, which will carry out actions of patrol, interventions, protection and military regulations, who will be in the streets contributing to the rest of the security elements within each one of the municipalities cataloged with a high index of insecurity.

This specialized team of the Secretariat of National Defense, arrived on December 1, Cuauhtémoc and Juárez, to assist the security strategies and later have been integrating more elements to Guerrero, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Ojinaga and the rest of the links.

The 7 Red municipalities:

In the state, 7 municipalities with a high index of insecurity were classified as Chihuahua, Cuauhtémoc, Juárez, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Delicias, Parral and Guerrero, while "medium" index is Ojinaga, Guachochi and Urique, but in particular it is covered great part of the state territory.

Among the first tasks of this strategy is to identify the panorama that is in the subject of insecurity, knowing the criminal incidence, numerology of insecurity events and based on this a national plan will be created to address each of the security conditions of the entities.

So far it is unknown the period which the elements of the Army and the Federal Police will stay, who will be coordinating these strategies, however, last December 1,  state agents had a confrontation with a criminal group and the support of the Military Policedid not make a presence.
