Roberto Álvarez Heredia, spokesman for the State Coordination for the Construction of Peace in Guerrero, reported on the arrest of Erika " N " , aka " La Nena " , alleged leader of the criminal organization Gente Nueva , which operated in the northern region of that state.
"La Nena" is accused of directing criminal cells dedicated mainly to kidnapping, although is also related to extortion and homicides in Iguala and the northern area of the state.
Álvarez Heredia explained that the capture was achieved with the coordination between the Attorney General's Office (PGR) and the Prosecutor's Office of Guerrero.
Accused of the crime of homicide, Erika " N " received a preventive detention measure, for which she was detained in the Tuxpan prison in the municipality of Iguala.
No affiliation with the armed wing of Sinaloa Cartel.

ReplyDeleteIt's worth repeating at how annoying it is to see pictures of criminal perpetrators with their eyes blocked out. This practice is supposed to do what?
ReplyDeleteIt is especially irritating when pictures of all kinds of crime perpetrators are easily available. What is so special about perps like La Nena .... Don't tell me that the Mexican police agencies have some kind of legalistic or other reasons for blocking the eyes out of select type criminals.
I've said this before, "The eyes are the window to the soul (personality)" and we humans instinctively read them to form ideas of what people may be like. To block eyes out is virtually like having offering a carne asada taco to a hungry man that is just the empty tortilla!
Again, I am curious to know more about this annoying practice.

I agree that they should not censor the eyes. It is seen as a measure by the government of of Mexico, as to when they pay the bribe and are set free, for the public not to recognize her or him, when set free, you are aware that its a revolving door in the criminal system.
