On Wednesday night in the town of Rubio of the municipality of Cuauhtémoc, there was a strong confrontation between rival groups. The shootings lasted about half an hour where they made the different types of sounds of long weapons. According to the report, the confrontation occurred between the New Cartel de Juárez (NCDJ) with support from its allies of the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel (CJNG) against Gente Nueva del Tigre, a Sinaloa Cartel cell, who were the protagonists of clashes over control of the municipality of Cuauhtémoc.

The confrontation left a balance of three dead and four injured, as well as material damage to some 17 vehicles and five establishments. During the shooting, a group of armed men in a convoy attacked in Cuauhtémoc leaving material damage.

It was shortly before 10 o'clock at night when messages began to be generated that cited a group of dozens of pick ups that left Cuauhtémoc for the Álvaro Obregón section, a place where the preliminary investigation was carried out and they found a group of assassins of the La Linea  of the New Cartel of Juárez.

The confrontations occurred in at least three points in the city, exit to Cuauhtémoc, to Bachiniva and in the Central Zone of the section, there was an attack against the sectional command with the balance of four police units affected, as well as bullet impact to several private vehicles.

Likewise, the Municipal Police refers to the five confrontations, where in one of the points, the explosion of grenades is reported, leaving as damaged businesses: SIX Wines and Liquors, Similar Pharmacies, Wines and Spirits la Serranita, BBVA Bancomer Branch and Plaza Sofia High Floor (where Revenue Collection is located).

In one of the clashes, registered at the exit to Bachíniva, a minor and two adults were injured. Relatives of the victim report that he was hit by a stray bullet, which caused a wound in his stomach; already in the morning the police reported another person injured by a bullet, closing with four people injured of this incident.

Private homes, without any official number being recorded at the moment; likewise, were damaged from the shootings, and a total of 13 vehicles were noted with bullet impacts, some of them parked in the place where the clashes occurred.
