CJNG in Uruapan: Forcing Governor Silvano to Take Different Security Measures

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: SinEmbargo
The announcement of the new security strategy comes a day after at least four elements of the Municipal Police of Zamora were killed in an attack allegedly perpetrated by hit men of the Jalisco Cartel Nueva Generación.

The bloody arrival of the CJNG to Uruapan forces the Government of Silvano to redesign its strategy

For his part, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said, in his morning conference, that the National Guard will also be deployed in Michoacán, with the aim of reducing the levels of violence in the state.

After suspected members of the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel (CJNG) attacked security forces in Zamora, Michoacán, the Governor, Silvano Aureoles , announced the start-up of a plan to security and promised an answer to the violence of the criminals.
Through his Twitter account, the state governor said he will not give ground to the criminals and promised to respond to any criminal act.

"I am already in Zamora to launch the security plan, because we are not willing to give up any space earned to the criminals. Every act of yours will have a strong response from my government, "he said.

In addition, the president called on the three levels of government, as well as citizens, to join efforts in the fight against crime.

CJNG Attack in Zamora:

According to information from national media, at least four elements of the Municipal Police of Zamora died and another 7 were injured as a result of an attack orchestrated allegedly by the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel during the early hours of Sunday.

According to the available data, a convoy of some 50 trucks labeled with the initials of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), in the municipality of Zamora, was the one that opened fire against the police elements.

During the confrontation, in addition to the injured police officers, two civilians were injured.

CJNG and Los Viagras Confrontation in Uruapan:

Ten people were killed ( official number)  during an armed confrontation in Uruapan, Michoacán. The Prosecutor's Office of the entity reported that it had been carried out by two groups of "criminal cells"; local and national media attributed the attacks to members of the CJNG  and Los Viagras.

The violent encounter took place in a wooded area of the Arroyo Colorado colony, where four other people were injured, according to data from the Michoacán Prosecutor's Office.

General consensus is that CJNG ambushed Los Viagra camp with 20-25 vehicles with at least 4 armed men in each, ie at least 100 gunmen and there were plenty more than 10 dead with casualties on both sides, basically a bloodbath.  NOTE: See our previous posts on these attacks from last week.
Staff of the local prosecutor's office went to the site to carry out inquiries and reported that it has already started a research folder.

"During the proceedings, which have the support of personnel of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), and the Michoacán Police, were located weapons for the exclusive use of the Mexican Army, chargers and useful cartridges of various calibers, some that have been packed for further analysis, " the agency said in a statement.

AMLO:
For his part, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said, in his morning conference, that the National Guard will also be deployed in Michoacán, with the aim of reducing the levels of violence in the state.

"It will be in the areas with the greatest need, as of June 30, because it is gathering elements, it is a process, but we are going there and that does not mean that we neglect people, we are working on that matter" , he said.

He added that insecurity is one of his priority issues, so every day he holds meetings with his cabinet to address the high rates of violence that are experienced in the country.
In recent days, Michoacán has been hit by a wave of violence led by elements of the Cartel Jalisco  Nueva Generación.

    1. 11:45 Losing territory you don't know anything if you are saying that. Look at that map above La Piedad, Yuerecuaro, Sahuayo, Jiquilpan, Los Reyes. Carapan, Zacapu, Quiroga, Patzcuaro, Tacambaro, Zitacuaro, Cd. Hidalgo, Huetamo, Nueva Italia, are all CJNG or they have a non aggrestion pact with them and do business with them. The Large Michoascano cartel that had all these contacts doesn't exist so CJNG serves as the link between them. CJNG offers the muscles, contracts and deals for a fee.

    3. PRD, obviously, and they are trying to seal the state to steal the elections and keep robbing it of anything worth a penny. EPN put auriolas there as governor to replace Don Pellejos Vallejo.

  7. This is only a temporary solution. Mexico has to spend more money on it's military and police forces if it even wants to make a slight difference.

    3. 3:40 bullfacking shet, no melitary needs more money, they need to split the loads better, and go home and find a real job, they are too many ratas there and their ginirals hijos de su puta madre. Even the Guarida Nacional trying to be like "the big boys" are corrupt for using retired war criminals in the mix with corrupt federal amd state Cops trying to make a killing...
What is needed is mandatory military service and sent them home after a year or two, not career criminals appointed for life to murdering, kidnapping and extorting for their mandos.

  10. I heard ALMO ordered 4,000 National Guard to detour crime. Does that mean to stand around? Or take action and any criminals causing harm! Take out the baby killers, they are causing too much havoc in Michoacan.

    1. How many times do I have to read stuff like this? You think the National Guard is going to deter crime? THEY ARE THE CRIMINALS. They work for one of the cartels. Take action against criminals? I have to laugh. You must believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
