The man was arrested for carrying weapons exclusive to the Army; Luis "C" , Luis Fernando Carrillo Navarro, was placed at the disposal of the authorities for drug trafficking. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Hermosillo, Sonora:
Agents of the Federal Ministerial Police detained Luis "C", son of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, "The Lord of the Skies", or “Señor de los Cielos", who was leader of the so-called Cartel de Juárez.
In a press release, the Ministry of Public Security and Citizen Protection explained that the agents of the Attorney General's Office completed the arrest warrant issued by a Federal Judge for crimes against health and criminal association, and that he is also being sought by the Anti-Drug Agency in the United States (DEA) .
The man was also arrested for the crime of carrying firearms for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The arrest occurred in the Las Lomas neighborhood of Hermosillo , without having to resort to the use of violence or involvement of third parties with respect to his human rights. The Prosecutor explained that the man is also the son of Zayda Graciela Navarro Durazo, related to the activities of the Juarez Cartel and sister of Carlos Navarro Durazo, who was extradited in 2017 to the United States after being detained by elements of the then PGR to end of 2016, when being sought by the DEA for its probable responsibility in the crimes of criminal association and against health.
Luis "C" remained at the disposal of the judicial authority that required him.
Amado Carrillo Fuentes:
Later known as the “Lord of the Skies” for his use of large commercial jets to transport cocaine, Amado Carrillo Fuentes was a long-time socio, or partner, of Pablo Acosta and rival of "El Chapo" Guzman Loera.
The enigmatic Amado was believed to be part of the Guadalajara drug cartel, a nephew of Ernesto Fonseca, who sent him to Ojinaga to oversee cocaine shipments that belonged to the Guadalajara group and learn about border operations from Pablo Acosta. Through a protection scheme with Mexican federal and state police agencies and with the Mexican army, Acosta was able to ensure the security for five tons of cocaine being flown by turboprop every month from Colombia to Ojinaga — sometimes landing at the municipal airport, sometimes at dirt airstrips on ranches upriver from the Rio Grande town.
Carrillo Fuentes took over organized crime in northern Mexico after the death of Pablo Acosta and died in Mexico City in 1997 while undergoing plastic surgery. Nicknamed the "Lord of the Skies" for his private fleet of large commercial jets he used to ship cocaine, he gained a reputation for extreme ruthlessness. Looking on are pathologists at the Federal Judicial Police morgue in Mexico City.

By 1985, American intelligence began to see Carrillo Fuentes as a key player in Ojinaga and suspected he was positioning himself to take over. This occurred after the death of Pablo Acosta. Within a few years, he became the most powerful drug trafficker in Mexico and was known for extreme ruthlessness.
While Acosta was still alive, Carrillo Fuentes often accompanied Acosta, Marco DeHaro, and Becky Garcia on their smuggling activities, including the rescue of a broken-down marijuana truck near Lomas de Arena. The mugshot was taken after Carrillo Fuentes was jailed in Mexico for several weeks in 1989. By then, he had successfully undergone plastic surgery at least once to alter his appearance, but died in1997 while he was again under the plastic surgeon’s knife.
We know about the father’s history, but what about the kid? What’s he good for? Wasn’t his brother or half brother just released?
ReplyDeleteOnce again, where is MZ and Chapos kids captures???
ReplyDeleteIf this capture does not show favoritism towards CDS and the reason CDS became top dog in Mexico then nothing will.
The war on drugs seems to continue despite Obrador's claim of not pursuing?
ReplyDeleteCould it be that Mexico's interests are at stake if not playing by US rules? To apprehend someone of such high profile indicates a motive. To what this motive is? Is yet to be visibly determined?
Anyone here know if the Carrillo family still has power and wealth in Mexico?
ReplyDeleteThe Carrillo fuentes are some strange looking people but this guy looks alright
ReplyDeleteCesar El chicharo carillo the leader of ncdj
ReplyDeleteAfter the assassination of Pablo Acosta Villarreal by the FBI in cahoots with Policia Federal and DFS
ReplyDeletecommander Guillermo Gonzalez Calderoni, DFS commander Rafael Aguilar Guajardo inherited the CDJ until his murder in Cancun that left for his brothers at DFS 200 Million dollars to split and Amado in charge of the cartel.
The millions of dollars Amado earned disappeared too, that why his children still sell drugs like some pinches grameros in competition with zeta car washers and paleteros.
How many kids does el senor Carrillo have?
ReplyDelete10:01 Amao had about 30 children, why, do you want One?
DeleteI wonder if the mother’s maiden name (Durazo) means relation to El Negro Durazo?
ReplyDeleteProbably not, Durazo is a common name in Sonora.
DeleteI can't believe anyone actually buys the "died during plastic surgery" story.
ReplyDeleteSo how did he die exactly?
Delete8:05 you like the people who think chapo is a clone but yet cds lost presence and power after chapo's fall. If amado wouldn't have died Juarez cartel would be a diferent set up and with more power
DeleteHe dead
ReplyDeleteSo where is MZ and Chapos Kids.
ReplyDeleteIs BB even going to publish my truthful comment about law enforcement on BOTH sides of the border favoring CDS and helping them grow with these captures?
