Another policeman executed in Sonora

This Tuesday morning there was a new armed attack by a pair of motorcycle sicarios, which surprised an element of the Municipal Police outside the OXXO located in Guaymas Norte, on the street Mar del Norte which connects with Calle Mar Caribe. He was shot at point-blank range, in events that took place around 8:20 hours.

The victim was identified as Marlon Gonzalez Juanqui, 42 years old, active agent of the Municipal Police of Guaymas.

It was said that a couple of motorcycle sicarios arrived at the OXXO in Guaymas Norte, where one of the men descended and intercepted the police agent just as he left the convenience store. And immediately fired at close range on at least 9 occasions , he was left lifeless on the sidewalk.

After the attack the pair of motorcycle sicarios left towards an unknown destination. The place was immediately protected by elements of the Municipal Police, which were supported by State Police. While experts from the Attorney General's Office of the State aided in the collection of evidence. Then proceeded with the order of removal of the body to the Forensic Medical Service Room.

It should be noted that the long-awaited National Guard was seen with an element or two. 

There have already been 13 policemen assassinated in the State

A municipal police officer was executed by gunmen on a motorcycle, outside a convenience store in Puerto de Guaymas, Sonora.

The Municipal Police as the first responders went to the report that was made around 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 2, of the store located on Boulevard Mar Caribe and Mar del Norte, in the colony Guaymas Norte. The officers found their partner identified as Marlon Juanqui without life. Witnesses to the crime reported that he was assaulted by men on a motorcycle.

On the afternoon of Monday, July 1, Héctor Eduardo Rendón Ruiz died in the hospital, following the bullet wounds he suffered last Saturday when he was ambushed along with four other officers at a gas station in the Loma Linda sector, where José Ramón Arvizu Espinoza died.

So far this year, 13 agents have been executed in Sonora, seven of them were municipal, four ministerial of the Attorney General's Office of the State (FGJE). And two of the State Public Security Police (PESP). Of these, five were security controls.

On social media networks a supposed threat is circulating. 

Message reads as follows:

To all the Guaymas Municipal Police. You are hereby warned not to be out on the streets. Because we have each of you all located. Everyone on the hit list will be killed. Even if we come across patrols those will also be executed. You all know the motives behind all those killed. But there are still many more. Therefore whoever is free of sin it’s best you resign or not come out. This message is equally for everyone. You’ve all been warned.
