The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo provided evidence that was assessed by a judge to link two taxi drivers in Cancun for their participation in the kidnapping of two Mexican tourists in the hotel zone.
In a statement, the Prosecutor's Office said that two drivers from the "Andrés Quintana Roo" Union are accused of being "helpers of the kidnapping crime ", so that they were given informal preventive detention for two years.
The Prosecutor's Office pointed out that the resolution was achieved thanks to a field and cabinet investigation work of the Ministerial Police attached to Kidnappings, with scientific and professional bases and supported by specialized experts in different areas.
Enough evidence to blame them:
In the hearing held yesterday, July 24, the prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Prosecutor's Office Specialized in Kidnapping Investigation provided sufficient elements to the control judge, who assessed them and dictated a process link against Miguel “N” and Aureo “N”. They were the first people investigated for the kidnapping of two people from Nuevo León.
Tomorrow Friday will be the hearing of resolution of connection to process against other four people related by the same case.
Taxi drivers in criminal acts:This is the third case of taxi drivers in Cancun involved in high-level crimes in recent months.
First, elements of the Navy arrested a group of at least 8 operators in the hotel zone in possession of long and short weapons, camouflage clothing, chargers of various sizes, useful cartridges and 150 doses of drugs.
Child Sexual Exploitation:
In addition, an investigation is open for the crime of child sexual exploitation, after a taxi driver was arrested outside a motel, where he took a minor.
Good they are arresting bad hombres driving taxis. 10 percent of investigations, well it's better than nothing.
ReplyDeleteI went to Cancun in June and I rented a van. Cheaper that driving with a taxi.
DeleteTourists get kidnapped worldwide. No more high profile athletes and CEOs. Game has all levels of opportunities and players.
ReplyDeleteThe reality of this makes sense to employ those services for profits. Clients of value make a perfect recipe.
2:18 pendejos kidnapped in Cancun are something special,
DeletePENDEJOS WITH CAPITALS,
what is missing is what happened to the tourists, they could have been just bait to entrap these assholes, there have been Coahuila Crooks employed as private security guards and state and municipal law, and order, like "El Vikingo" Francisco Delgado Velasco, formerly a mexican army giniral (who was released after a few years in prison for the murder of retired general Tello who had all his bones carefully broken before getting executed when he arrived to QR to take over public security) and his henchmen, expert Criminals, from Nuevo Lion and Veracruz and Coahuila...
I heard El Vikingo is back in Cancun.
I guess Mexico's tourist industry doesn't need tourist?
ReplyDeleteI have young kin who I urged not to go to Cancun or anywhere in Mexico. I read of incidents like this and feel justified.
Mexico-Watcher
I agree, there are other safer destinations to spend your money.
Delete2 years is fine, if it’s served in a Brasílian prison
ReplyDeleteGeez, now you can't even trust a taxi driver. Best to stick with riding the bus unless the bus driver wants to help kidnap the whole busload.
ReplyDeleteThat can happen, as anything goes in Mexico.
Deletethey dont have uber in cancun?
DeleteNo, the narco-taxi syndicate does not allow Uber in Quintana Roo. It used to operate for a while, but the Syndicate drove then off with their political influence (votes)
DeleteWhen i went to Cancun I was like hell yeah I’ll just use Uber come to find out that Uber was no longer existent in Cancun. FML
DeleteNow killing Tourists
ReplyDelete(Cheech Marin voice) "We're just here to reprocess the furniture mon"
ReplyDeleteWhat a nightmare! You are out having a good time, you call a taxi and are kidnapped! Wow! Life can throw you unexpected curve balls.! 2 years sounds light! 15 years would be Much more appropriate! True fairness would be kidnapping ttheir kids, or ttheir wife, or mother!
ReplyDeleteKidnappings of such are visible throughout the world. Many criminal organizations employ the services of tourists guides for financial gain.
DeleteSome places of origin kidnapping religious groups have become a righteous cause.
950 This blog is about Mexico not the rest of the world so what’s your point???
DeleteWow can't even take a taxi or you get kidnapped.
ReplyDeleteU can get kidnapped anywhere. If drivers of ride companies sexually assault their passengers. What makes you think that kiddnapping would be out of the question?
DeleteDoctor 1111, he never said kidnapping was out of the question, as a matter a fact, it's with in the sentence, therefore it is not out of the question. Lol
DeleteThe hell with the Uber cartel take a Lyft.
ReplyDeleteThe tourists were actually kidnapped (and one presumably killed) because they had an argument with a drug dealer in the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteWhy in hell would you fight a drug dealer is beyond me...
Why would you go to Mexico is beyond me. Nevermine, the victim was from Mexico.
DeleteThat is the reason I don't take vacation with my family to Mexico. I will encourage my other family to stay out of Mexico.
ReplyDelete9:17 we will kill Uber, Lyft, and you pendejos.
