Omar Treviño Morales , aka the Z-42 severe dissension formed as Trevino’s
violent nephew, Juan Francisco “Kiko” Treviño Jr., took the reins of the group.
The opposition
formed as “Zetas Vieja Escuela” or ZVE. CDN is the Trevino faction.
Kiko was arrested in Texas and given a sentence of
life plus two 20 year sentences.
CDN’s domain area is in the states of Tamaulipas ,
Nuevo León , Coahuila , Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí . It has an operational presence in the United
States , Guatemala , Honduras and Colombia ; in the latter CDN took-over the
business of buying cocaine from the original Los Zetas, after its disappearance
as a criminal group.
