Elements of the Mexican Army seized drugs and an arsenal composed of 12 long weapons, more than 6,000 useful cartridges, 186 clips and three fragmentation grenades, among other equipment, during a security patrol carried out in Pánuco, Veracruz .
According to the Ministry of National Defense , the assurance occurred yesterday during a security patrol carried out in the neighborhood Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez, in that Veracruz municipality, where the weapons were located in a wooded area .
In the place were found seven AR-15 rifles, two AK-47 rifles , a 12-gauge shotgun, a 30-30 rifle, a 9-mm Uzi machine-gun pistol, as well as three fragmentation grenades and three silencers.
They also secured 186 loaders for various weapons ; 6,156 cartridges of different calibers, tactical equipment consisting of 19 camouflaged vests, 14 black ballistic vests, military type trousers and beige camisoles.
Sedena added, in a statement, that in the same place were found 524 psychotropic pills, 21 wrappings with cocaine, a package with opium gum, weighing approximately 700 grams.
The elements reported that everything secured was put at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry of the Attorney General's Office.
