"El Bananas" , CAF Operator Killed in TJ after Night of Partying at the Grand Hotel

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Zeta
Ronaldo Alexis Huerta Nuño "El Bananas", CAF

Last Friday, September 20, there were bullets on the 1st floor of parking lots (E1) of the Grand Hotel Tijuana.  Pablo Edwin Huerta Nuño aka “El Flaquito”, 27 years old and considered by the authorities as one of the most threatening criminals among drug trafficking operators in the Baja California Coast Zone, fled on foot from the scene where his brother  ( although investigators place him as his nephew) Ronaldo Alexis Huerta Nuño "El Bananas" was shot dead.  All Security Camera Photos

Outside "El Flaquitas" was picked him up in a gold car - apparently a Volkswagen Jetta - and took him out of the area before the police arrived.

Pablo Edwin Huerta Nuño, CAF
"El Flakito", "El Flaco", "El 26", "El Flash"
Very thin, of average height, sport shirt, denim shorts, tennis and a dark baseball cap with the visor thrown back, " he looked like a kid," researchers described. His image in rapid flight initially aroused the interest of the agents who, they believed, could be one of the armed attackers.

The two members of the CAF were partying and arrived at the hotel that morning with three girls. They spent about 12 hours with them, and left the lodge around five in the afternoon. When they descended from the elevator, they ran into one of the Bustamante family escorts, who realized that Ronaldo Huerta was armed, exchanged words which ended up with bullets.

"El Bananas" fired once without hitting the target, the escort shot three times, one bullet did not reach its target, another hit its opponent in the ear and the third penetrated him in the chest.

The escort, was a military man, served in the Municipal Police of Rosarito from 2007 to 2010, a year he was integrated into the commercial police and since then he has served as an escort for the Bustamante family, owner of the Grand Hotel.

On Monday, September 23, the Public Ministry informed him that he would be declared as "charged with wrongful death", since he admitted that he was shot and the subject died.

As there was no flagrancy, he was not arrested and the investigation will continue until the moment in which an arrest warrant is issued or summoned for the formulation of an imputation before the judge. "The possibilities are two,  he is not eligible for legitimate defense, or responsible for homicide," said an investigator.
The Grand Hotel Tijuana, owned by the Bustamante Family, the scene of the death of "El Bananas'';
Ronaldo Huerta, who was "serving a sentence in freedom" for possession of a rifle, died wielding a .380 caliber weapon.

  5. I still dont understand how El Flakito has managed to stay alive even after disobeying orders from X13, and also by doing levantones

    1. Which orders where those bulldog? If I may ask. Levantones y tumbar jale a los sneaky ones. That’s been happening since RA days. El flakito answers directly to el Kieto. Kieto y X13 both are señores. Same team. Just managed different.

    3. el cholo 5-5 was whacked for less than what flakito has done becuase back then el ingeniero was still callin the shots. No full blooded Arellano is really enforcing codes of conduct within the nearly defunct cartel. cartel de Medellin , cartel de Cali , cartel de Tijuana (arellano) all defunct. Its just the nostalgic wave ridden by the young millennial local tijuana generation to resuscitate a golden era that will never happen again. Modernized police movements, newer law enforcement tech, street cameras all around, etc. Best believe any capo with clout when CAF was at its height would have shot the bodyguard on sight with a convoy stationed close by. Flakito will have to answer to somebody for putting the mysterious defunct cartel in the public eye again.

    4. @5:52 wasn't El Flakito told to cool it off since he was bringing heat into the plaza? Was Flakito involved in Chencho Beltrans nephew ?

    5. 2:57 el cholo was “whacked” bcuz it was said that he had disrespected el inge and had challenged he’s authority. I can’t neither confirm it or deny it Arellano in the mix. El CAF is it nearly defunct or defunct which one is it going to be? Lol just so you know they highly encourage the gossip of their non existence. It works better for them $$$. As far as the young millennials go. Shots are still being called from ppl from the past. And yes it’s the young millennials executing the orders. But best believe theirs still hierarchy. And yes times have change as well the cartels way of operating for the most part. With the exception of few every once in a while. The capo with “clout” would probably have been Ramon or David Barrón. Anyone else I can think of would of carry themselves different non provocative less noise less attention just like they do know. Sure some do that (move around in convoys) but you said it yourself times have changed. Tijuana is not Culiacan where there’s less American influence. In Tijuana American Leo influence is right next door. So no. Even if you had to means to set up a 50plus convoy around tj unless it’s an emergency (el canaveral type of emergency) Most Capós here carry themselves about simple. “Mysterious defunct cartel” lol. It’s mysterious alright. That’s the goal. I don’t know about defunct.

    6. I've said it before and I will say it again, CAF is the most dangerous group in la TIA Juana because nobody outside of the organization knows what is going on. They maintain secrecy and honestly Leo's can not figure out who is in charge.

    7. El bulldog I think that is because the connect he has or had with el H and his father.

  6. How ironic. The Bustamante Family used to be "protected" by "La Gente" since one of their family members was married to an Arellano Lutenant. Now the new blood is going to go after them

    1. No it’s not. Two scenarios will happen. But whatever business bonds and relationship there is between the two will continue for the benefit of the two parties. The Bustamante family will pay $$$$ to patch things up or they will sacrifice the bodyguard.

  7. CAF know how to work they keep a low profile and not make much noise they let the other cartels make all they noise while they moves. They might not be as big but they are there

    2. I replied to your comment yesterday but I don’t know why it didn’t go through. Anyways, I don’t really want to reveal to much but that’s his Instagram yung_skert may he Rest In Peace. He was working with CAF. Anyone reading this, look up his IG if you want, and see who cats he was following. Some interesting names in their. Known/somewhat famous people from TJ,SD,LA who are doing what he did. Again I’ll let you do the research, let me know if you find anything.

Yaqui-you should look into it if you have some time to kill

  9. Flakito , what happened the smoke from the bodyguard had you shook little homie. They whack your own blood in your presence and you flee like a panicked woman leaving your soldier behind? I thought you would have drew out your own tool and start returning shots. They potray you as a solid one in your local corridos. El tiburon and the rest of the jrs from the vieja escuela would have been dumpin on sight. You aint cut from the same cloth as the your OG old schoolers. Just making a fair analysis.
