DeleteIf municipal and state police in Culiacan participated in this event, it was for sure that the sicarios where ready for action. If anything was gained by this operation at least was intelligence on how the cartel operates.

DeleteThe biggest takeaway for me from from the video. A few of El Chapo's ranches have also used the covered garage to mask who comes and goes from the house from satellite and/or aerial surveillance. It's possible that's how he was located in the first place.

ReplyDeletebut when it comes to the boots on the ground, the soldiers and agents said it them selves that they did not failed, and this video shows it. as you can see the shooting was already going on, you can hear it, these guys came to his location, got him out and ordered him to stop it and he obeyed.
1. they located him, checked
2. they detained him, checked
3. they ordered him to end the shooting, checked
4. they arrested him, failed.
these guys had him and couldve taken him if they wouldve been ordered to, but thats when the higher ups failed these men. Mexican Forces gave the ability to track these guys down, and take these guys down, they just dont have a solid leadership. Their leaders fail them, they get intimidated too easy, there is nothing wrong with the soldiers theyre doing an outstanding job and it sucks for them doing their job right, risking their lives, losing a guy, getting to the target and everything going good until suddenly leadership makes a choice that throws it all away. No matter how skilled and succesful soldiers can be, the mission will fail when a politician interrupts.
