Who is "Pepé Sierra" ? Head of "Chapitos" Hitmen

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Vanguardia
Who is "Pepe Sierra"? ... former military man and head of hit men for Iván ''Chapito'' Guzmán, was key in the release of Ovidio Guzmán.

He is an ex-military man who revealed the location of the homes of soldiers families in Culiacán, helping the liberation of the Ovidio, son of 'El Chapo' Guzmán.

According to the information that accompanies the publication, "Pepe Sierra" is a deserter of  the Mexican Army , an institution where he worked for a long time and thanks to which he has a great knowledge in the use of firearms, as well as in tactics of combat .

Recently, citizen complaint pages accuse a man identified as a former military man named José Adolfo Medrano, alias ''Pepe Sierra'' , of being chief of hitmen for Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar , alias ' El Chapito ', son of drug trafficker Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzmán , in addition to having revealed the location of the homes of some soldiers.

Various sources say that José Adolfo, "El Pepe" is currently in Culiacán and that his presence in the city is due to his chiefs put him in charge of locating the elements of the National Defense Secretariat  that arrested Ovid Guzmán last Thursday.

According to versions that circulated the day of what happened, but that have not been denied or confirmed by authorities, the order was to kill the relatives of the military elements in case no agreement was reached for the release of Ovidio.

They confirm that  José Adolfo Medrano is a deserter of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and belonged to the  Third Battalion in Sinaloa , but after being discharged, he is now at the service of the Sinaloa Cartel, whose main center of operations is in Culiacán.

We can see in  images that circulate on the social network pages of  José Adolfo , he was proud to be a military, he constantly shared his snapshots with his teammates,  in which we can see him with his infantry uniform.

No one really knows why  José Adolfo  decided to leave the  Army  to join the ranks of the Sinaloa Cartel, but various rumors say that he would have been offered a large sum of money in exchange for his services.

This would not be the first time that a case like this has been released on social networks, because, unfortunately, there  are many stories we know about the military who, for one reason or another, decide to leave their uniform to join organized crime.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday Oct 17, a date now etched in the memory of many,  a patrol consisting of 30 elements of the National Guard and the military carried out a patrol at the Tres Ríos subdivision, in the capital of Sinaloa, when they were attacked from a house.

The foregoing, he said, led several members of organized crime to surround the house "with a force greater than that of the patrol."

An hour later Durazo confirmed to the Reuters news agency that  "they made the decision to leave the house without Guzman to try to avoid more violence in the area and preserve the lives of our staff and restore calm in the city."

Meanwhile, in Culiacán shots were heard at night but this time they were bursts of gunfire  in the air, in celebration for the release of Ovidio Guzmán López.

  2. The thing about family housing for service members is that it’s an open secret where all everyone lives. Military personnel tend to congregate to the same neighborhoods. I’ve seen this in numerous city’s that has military bases.

    3. @2:04 even if it was guarded I don’t think it matters much. People talk. And it’s common knowledge where certain groups of people live wherever you go.

    4. 204 de article said it was guarded by contracted security officers, that make about 25.00 a day in US equivalent. It did not say, if the officers were armed.

  6. So he goes from being a proud military member to a cartel member for more money. He then proceeds to locate and threaten to kill military personnel's family members for El Chapo Guzman's drug kingpin son.

    What a traitor.

  7. I was in the U.S NAVY, there is NO WAY any of those deserted pendejos with tweaker sicarios would EVER go and take any of the military family hostages.. The problem with Mexico is they don't have the military or respect it as much as the U.S does.. I heard somewhere military and cops have to buy their own ammo smh

    1. 2 things:
      1) you were in the US Navy, no MX.
      2) you probably had a good experience based on the belief you hold that military members wouldn’t flip on fellow members. Look up “fragging”. It probably holds a meaning you weren’t aware of.

This is not correct about los 3 ríos they lied about that and they already knew were the military families live they don’t need no ex military for that if they lived in Culiacán los chapitos and ther people knew already in fact a lot of the military and CDS they respect one a other thers a understand nobody what s problems if they can be avoided if you look at the violence against military and cartels from awhile back tell know your see CDS never really has had a lot of shootings with them like others because they have mostly paid for them to leave them alone and get ther enemies this is what I think happened in this case in Culiacán

  19. I think the US is going to provide some serious "Centra Spike" level support. Especially Mr Traitor, he is right after Chapito. The US doesn't like former military men who help targets evade capture.

  20. The Mexican military is a joke and in my opinion serves no purpose. They definitely do more harm than good. When they arrived in Juarez it made it much worse, they like every stage of law enforcement is corrupt and abuse their power... Mexico is lucky to have the US next door to not need a good trained military. I had wondered how they had contact with the military commander, well, now I know. I'm sure he's not the only one. Look how La Linea started, with corrupt police men. The people that are supposed to protect the people are the ones that harm the people the most. I'm ashamed to me Mexican sometimes.
