Coahuila: Bomberos (firefighters) abducted during CDN rampage in Villa Union found dead

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  from El Piñero, Periodismo y Debate

The bodies of firefighters were located, authorities confirmed on Sunday.

According to reports from state authorities, the first responders were kidnapped by armed civilians Saturday,  were found dead in Villa Unión yesterday.

Around noon on Saturday there was a confrontation between alleged members of the Northwest Cartel and members of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), in the municipality of Villa Unión, Coahuila.

Subsequently, in social networks a series of shootings were reported in various parts of the community, users shared various videos in which huge columns of smoke are observed in the streets of the town, in addition to burning vehicles and convoys of trucks with armed men.

In the afternoon the Governor of Coahuila, Miguel Riquelme, emphasized that the re-entry of the crime to the state will not be allowed

  1. Firefighters in Mexico are true heroes. The pay is dismal, long hours; equipment outdated….and they are scrutinized by narcos, who order them to stand down when they are in attack mode. I recall during a time when a cartel was making an attempt to take a northern city in Coahuila. Zetas torched homes and a dozen businesses. The chief told us in confidence how frustrating it was to see property burn to the ground but given the warning not to intervene……

    2. Killing firefighters, a new low. Wondering if they (firefighters) were in the drug game too? I think so.

    3. That's absurd, I am guessing it is to terrorize demonstrating to the public no one is exempt---or that they attempted to help when narcos ordered them not ot

    4. I am a dual citizen and spend most of the year in Mexico. I live in Allende so not to far from Villa Union. I don't believe they were in the drug game. The younger firefighter is a friends cousin. They were picked up because they know the way in and out of the area. He was found alive, beaten but alive.

    5. Killing firefighters is some seriously scumbag shit to do. Mexico is in a very sad situation and I can't see it improving. I imagine things are eventually going to get much much worse. My heart goes out to the people of Mexico.

    1. not coahuila. Those noreste were and still are trying to establish their empire their but sucks for them since its now the home of the Mexican Armed Forces and will be the the Mexican National Guards. If some of you say their own by cartels then your retarded and don't know shit. Coahuila is now free from the narcos occupation. Tamaulipas is also trying to stop the narcos and not be another narco occupation.

    1. 1:20 the term "terrorism" has become an excuse to invade other countries under any pretense to steal from the American people, o5 has been used to then steal all the resources they can from the country hosting the parasites who designated them terrorist and then carpet bombed them back to the stone age.
There is crime and criminals who are out of control and states that created or nurtured them, like in Coahuila of el bertie boy, governed by incompetent corrupt cowards of the PRI PARTY, Let's not forget the Mexican army and the zetas were tighterthanshit from the moment they sent their GAFES to pose as federal judicial police to tamaulipas to work for Osiel Cardenas Guillen to help him fight the ghost of "El Chapo" on his way to a US prison, namely Arturo Guzman Decena, z1#1.

  6. Poor guys. Feel bad for them. They are just trying to provide for their families and like prior commenter stated, they are poorly compensated, and the cartel fight is not theirs.

    1. Trevinos and cdn are definitely scum!
Can't so I know enough to say whether or not if the viagras are.

    2. Both are scum thats for sure.. No fan of any cartel but obviously under CDS theres more freedom for regular people not involved, thats why so much footage got out of the Ovidio incident. If that occured in CDN plazas, anyone caught reportibg or filming would have been killed maybe even dismembered..however in parts of Chihuahua CDS seems abit more scummy then where the big bosses actually reign still not as bad as where GJNG, CDN, VIAGRAS, REYNOSA CDG, control though...

    3. Criminals like the Viagras only exist because the narco-governors like aureoles conejos help them since they arrived to control the AutoDefensas in cahoots with EPN and his virrey Alfredo Castillos de kagadas, same with these cdn mierdas.

  12. Drug cartel Crime In Mexico has been going on for quite some years and has been growing accordingly with population and poverty and if amlo is wrong and there’s no social movement for change , Mexico would turn into a shitty district in the hunger games.

  13. To those preaching that the USA get involved: Are you crazy?
Mexicans basically hate (gringos) Americans and any interventions would be taken wrong...really wrong! Let Mexicans figure out their own problems. So some Mexicans see bomberos as enemies to abduct and kill, it is their problem... We simply do not understand the motives or logic of their ways.

Being a Chicano (old school, Civil Rights era) I learned that sometimes helping those in need can have serious negative consequences for the helpers.

    1. This, absolutely this.
Under zero circumstances should American forces ever be deployed to Mexico.
I don’t want to die for Mexico. I don’t want my children to die for Mexico.
America needs to do a better job of controlling what crosses our borders and that would be the extent of anything we should do.
It simply isn’t our problem to solve.

    5. The US has helped enough with their weapons trafficking to help their favorite cartels make money for their beloved weapons dealers who want to enhance their earnings helped by the russian asset NRA.
That the money they make comes from drug trafficking is no problem, unless the american banksters or their associate foreign money makers miss a few too many billion dollars...

  14. What if the firefighters were used to negotiate some kind of deal that favored the criminals but government decided it didn't want another ovidio?

      You make a good point.

The precedent was set by the highest levels of government, yet State and Local governments may have more Brains than the inept AMLO, and not want to negotiate with terrorists.

    2. 6:50 the states have been losing ground to the cartels and their criminals since before carlos salinas de gortari murdered PRD volunteers on his way to the presidency, he still had to make the computers fail to steal the presidency and burn the voters ballots, five presidents allowed the governors to become criminal accomplices for the last 30 years, and you never saw it coming, now you are accusing the only thing the mexicans have going for them, their own elected president.
You are an incompetent propagandista, the foto of Don Porfirio Diaz who was a great president and general before becoming a dictator is too big for you and your pretenses.

  15. Rest in peace, this is unfair to these public servants and their families. Interesting how many people post about time to send the military in....wow, really? Like the victories in the middle east. You need counter insurgency personnel working with local people, it does not matter the nationality of these troops just willing to provide the service. The days of our military being the best are long gone. We do have the best DOD contractors, bleeding the American taxpayer while our troops are under paid. Atte: Pepito

    1. 5:32 the best DOD contractors are but a cancer on the US military they and you put down, they only live because corrupt brass sold out to them and to politicians who never served in the military like cadet bone spurs or vice representant dick cheney.
There is a position for them when they retire from helping themselves and their future employers to a few billions or trillions of dollars from the Public Trough.
