A ton of marijuana valued at 2 million 889 thousand 675 Pesos was seized by elements of the 67th Infantry Battalion on Sunday, December 22 in the vicinity of San Carlos, Maneadero delegation, in front of the Airport Addiction Treatment Center.
In a statement, the military announced that in the area they had been alerted by an anonymous call that people were deprived of liberty, so soldiers went to Francisco I. Madero Avenue, where they located two vehicles and a couple of men on board.
The suspects fled between the houses in the area, leaving the two vehicles abandoned, which gave off the characteristic smell of marijuana.
When carrying out an inspection, 345 packages of different sizes made with cinnamon tape and transparent tape were identified, all with marijuana, with a total weight of approximately one thousand kilograms.
The vehicles seized are a Ford F250, white with gray stripes, license plates BP-52-743 of Baja California, serial number 2FHF26H5NCA99862, with theft report; a yellow Ford Mustang with black stripes, California license plates 6FAZ632, serial number IFAFP4045YF104322, with theft report.
Marijuana and vehicles were made available to the Attorney General's Office in Tijuana.
