Tijuana, BC: Severed Head in a Cooler, Crushed Body in a Tambo

The severed head of a man inside an ice chest was located on Monday afternoon December 16, in the Colonia Presidentes neighborhood, in Tijuana.

The finding was reported around 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of Abelardo L Rodríguez and José López Portillo streets in the aforementioned Colonia, belonging to the Cerro Colorado delegation, and indicated that human remains were found in a blue-and-white container as well as a white cardboard with threatening text. Until this moment the victim has not been identified.

Information obtained by ZETA, indicates that the message said:

“Así quedara la gente que siga trabajando con la lakra del Mariolas (Cabo 33) y con su gato Enrique Álvaro Atilano Hernández alias el (shale) a. t. t. la fam. que extorsionan y de los niños que han matado”.

Meanwhile, in another finding on early Monday morning:

They find corpse crushed inside a tambo. The body was located during the early hours of Monday in the North Zone on International Blvd. Minutes before 6:00am on Monday, the municipal police reported the discovery of the body.

The body was wrapped in a brown blanket inside the barrel, identity unknown and the gender of said body is still unknown further hampering efforts to identify it.

Over the weekend at least two other people were found murdered:
Two more murders were recorded this morning in the city: one in the downtown area, and another in the east.

In the first one, the authorities found a body in the canalization of the river, at the height of the El Chaparral bridge.

In the preliminary police report there are no details about the characteristics of the victim, only that this happened around 3:30 am.

About an hour earlier, a body had been located inside a bar on Ojo de Agua Street, a colony of the same name, in the rural dam delegation.

                 He was identified as a 39-year-old man, bound hand and foot, says the report.

They indicate that he also had a piece of cloth around his neck, so he could have died from suffocation, although this is not officially corroborated.

Tijuana, Baja California will once again be the most murderous city in Mexico in 2019.
