U.S. is targeting El Mayo” and other Sinaloa Cartel members

The Sinaloa Cartel remains a target for the United States government.

According to Milenio, Washington is targeting 10 members of this criminal organization who have arrest warrants, as some have entered US territory to kidnap and kill citizens, but whose bodies have been located in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. .

The information shared with the Attorney General's Office (FGR) locates these people in the state of Chihuahua and identifies them as members of the criminal group “Gente Nueva”, armed arm of the Sinaloa Cartel and which maintains a bloody war with the “La Línea” organization, from the Juarez cartel, to whom the control of the entity is disputed.

Documents from the Federal Court of the Western District of Texas reveal that 14 of the 24 people indicated by the prosecution, have been arrested by federal forces or killed in clashes, while others were killed by their rivals.

That is why for the American Union it has become a priority to capture the remainder of the members, which are known, have settled in Chihuahuan territory and are behind the killings in Ciudad Juarez for several years.

Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada appears on the list, identified by the United States and Mexican authorities as the most important kingpin of the Sinaloa cartel, above “El Chapo” and for whom for a few years, they have offered a reward of 5 millions of dollars.

Another they target  to capture is Germán Olivares, "El Paisa", identified as operator of "El Mayo" and who would be linked to the killings in Ciudad Juarez since 2007. For their part, the Mexican authorities point him as responsible for the transfer of cocaine to the United States and to provide firearms to the armed arms of the cartel that combat “La Linea”.

Milenio also points to Amado Núnez, "El M-11" or "El Flaco", who is known to hide in Juarez and gives orders to the gangs of  “Los Artistas Asesinos” and “Los Mexicles” to conduct attacks against the Juarez cartel. It is also responsible for drug transfer, collection of   piso  and extortion.

Sergio Garduño Escobedo, "El Coma”, is another wanted by the U.S.  Last year, the Attorney General of Chihuahua issued an alert, because they had reports that he was seen in that entity, where the group of “Gente Nueva” has been established.

 Another is Iván Sánchez Hernández, accused by the Texas Attorney's Office of being part of a cell of traffickers, kidnappers and murderers.

The whereabouts of Mario Iglesias Villegas, "El Dos", is also investigated, suspected of having participated in the kidnapping of a person in Horizon City, Texas, and in the kidnapping and murder of an American and two members of his family.

It is presumed that under the orders of “El Mayo” Zambada and Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, hitmen of the organization, including “El Dos”, kidnapped and murdered a Horizon City resident, due to the loss of a charge of marijuana seized by the Border Patrol at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint in August 2009.

They would also have conspired to kidnap and kill an American and two members of his family in 2010, whose bodies were found in an abandoned van in Ciudad Juarez.

Washington seeks to prosecute Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada García for crimes of criminal association, for conspiracy to possess narcotics, for money laundering, conspiracy to possess weapons and murder, among other crimes.
