Nine people were killed in a bloody confrontation
Friday in western Mexico between a criminal gang and police agents investigating a
suspected kidnapping, officials said.
The dead included two officers and six people
believed to have been held captive in a house in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco,
the state prosecutor's office said.
Another man died on the street.
Jalisco has been hard-hit by violence linked to
organized crime, particularly the powerful Jalisco New Generation drug cartel.
In the latest incident, the kidnappers opened fire
on the officers and shot their captives when they were cornered, state
prosecutor Gerardo Octavio Solis Gomez said.
After the gang shot at them, the agents returned
fire and requested backup.
Dozens of police and elements of the army supported
by two helicopters were deployed to begin a house to house search for the
attackers.
A woman who asked to remain anonymous said the man
who was killed in the street was her 43-year-old brother who had gone to visit
his daughter.
"They shot him in the heart, but he had nothing
to do with it. He was already dead when I arrived," she said.
Around 300 assault rifle shells were scattered at
the scene.
Neighbors described moments of panic during the
shooting and the search operation.
"They banged on the door, the windows were
broken. We weren't given a chance to go and open the door," a neighbor who
identified herself as Gabriela told AFP, adding that officers went up on the
rooftops.
In a nearby kindergarten, teachers followed safety
protocols to protect the children.
"They grabbed the children and then laid them
down on the ground, they had them all protected," Josefina, 40, told AFP.

This is cold reality. In Mexico the people are super nice and loving like this teacher. That has always been my experience. Those police should not have confronted them during school hours. They should have waited until the kids were safely home before confronting the criminals.

As far as I know, Cholo is oriundo/native of Jalisco, possibly of this city Tlaquepaque where this event happened. The Bosses of CJNG are from Michoacán. Your assumptions of kicking out in this event are wrong if in fact the sicarios that escaped after they killed 6 people inside a house and 2 government forces are CJNG. Sinaloas control their state just like Michoacános, the problem is they're not unified. You sure do worry a lot about what Michoacános do. Did these nefarious paisanos punk you for your stuff or take over your rancho, barrio, colonia,etcetera Sapo.Podrido.Verde(D.F)?

To be honest CJNG most likely lost all of Guadalajara one of the guys that comes out in a video of the Nueva Plazas is a guy who used to work at a gas station outside Guadalajara. Once you meet someone and hear their voice you never forget how it sounds.

ReplyDeleteSaying nueva plaza controls all of Guadalajara is just absurd. When CJNG was at its full strength it controlled maybe 80 percent of the city possible a little more. Guadalajara will never be controlled by one cartel entirely it’s just too fucken big. CJNG is getting back some control but nueva plaza is entrenched in the outskirts and will be hard to get out. There’s some BLO in Guadalajara as well as some CDS but no way do they sell merchandise through narcomenudeo shops, the other cartels use it as a logistics base.
