In a
recent report published by the Tijuana-based and award-winning news
magazine Zeta, Baja California state officials released the names of 48 newly-identified sicarios and drug dealers from the Jalisco New
Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Sinaloa Cartel that operate in Tijuana's
most dangerous boroughs. These criminals rotate in and out of prison and
are responsible for driving violence in the city.
The criminals in the report operate
in Sánchez Taboada, Natura and Centenario, three boroughs in Tijuana.
At least 40% of the murders committed in Tijuana are committed in these three
locations. In addition, at least 89 drug sale locations are located in these areas. Tijuana currently has the highest homicide rate in the state of Baja
California, but authorities say they are working to curb the drug-violence.
Since Jaime Bonilla Valdez became governor nearly
five months ago, Tijuana has 766 recorded homicides out of a total of 1,014
throughout the entire state. The rest of the homicides are spread out in other
municipalities: Ensenada, Mexicali, Tecate and Rosarito. Authorities say
the COVID-19 outbreak has not slowed down drug-related homicides.
Baja California's 1,000th homicide took
place in Tijuana on 24 March 2020. The victim was an unidentified man who was
found dead in Presa Rural neighborhood with head injuries. Later that day, four
more bodies were found throughout Tijuana (one less than Tijuana's daily
average rate for homicides). Like in most cases, no one was arrested for the
murders.
Centenario borough
Baja California state authorities identified 14 CJNG and Sinaloa Cartel members active in Centenario borough.
* One of the CJNG cells is active in Otay Constituyentes, Rio Vista, Tecnologico, Colonia Manuel Rivera and parts of Plaza Otay.
* The other CJNG cell operates in Nido de las Aguilas, Granjas Division del Norte Rinconada and parts of Magisterial
* A Sinaloa Cartel cell operates out of Módulos de Otay, Parque Industrial Chilpancingo and el Oeste de la colonia Magisterial zones.
* A Sinaloa Cartel cell operates out of Módulos de Otay, Parque Industrial Chilpancingo and el Oeste de la colonia Magisterial zones.
These details were gathered after authorities arrested criminals in the area. With their confessions, they were able to discover 20 drug sale locations controlled by the CJNG, 16 controlled by the Sinaloa Cartel, in addition to 9 more drug stores (tienditas) close to Zona Este. Investigators stated that Zona Este is controlled by other gangs with less homicide-related activities.
These 14 criminals report to three ring leaders:
- Israel Alejandro Vazquez Vazquez ("El Cabo 50"): He is a regional leader of the CJNG and reports under a man known only by his alias "El Champion".
- José Antonio Robles Covarrubias: He reports under El Cabo 50. His main drug distributor is Manuel Ruvalcaba Franco ("El Cocho") and he works closely with two men identified only by their aliases "El Apá" and "El Wero". These last two have several male and female subordinates, including: Armando García Luna, Gabriel Galindo Cornejo, Agustín Ibarguen Madrid, Azucena Bautista and Xitlalic Loza.
- "El Miguel": This Sinaloa Cartel member is only known by his alias. The subordinates under him are Gibrán Raúl Pérez, Jesús Bautista Arvizu, Ángel Rodríguez Montoya, Iván Ruiz Sandina, Rigoberto Barajas and Manuel García Valdez.
Natura borough
Baja California state authorities have mapped out 15 drug sale locations in this borough. The turf is divided in 8 parts; 5 of them are controlled by the CJNG and 3 are controlled by the Sinaloa Cartel.
The turf is not uniformly divided and these two groups often have drug sale locations right next to each other. This has caused Natura borough to experience higher levels of drug violence.
For example, in-between Urbi Villas del Prado and Valle Dorado zones (controlled by the CJNG) there is rival cell of the Sinaloa Cartel. In Hacienda Las Delicias III, where two Sinaloa Cartel cells operate, is surrounded by the rival CJNG from the north and south (in Hacienda Las Delicias I and Bosques de Natura, respectively).
These 15 drug sale locations are controlled by three ring leaders:
- Leonardo Fabián Llamas ("El Cabo 45"): He works under the CJNG and has several people under his direct supervision, including: Álvaro Arellano Pacheco, Rubén Gámez Estrada, Alfredo Armendáriz Torres and Carlos Fierro Arámburo. Under these are Leonardo Vázquez, José Humberto Mendoza, Elena Arroyo, and others known by their aliases "El Drek", "El Fantasma" and "Bebeto".
- "Toño" / "Tigre": He is aloso identified as a member of the CJNG. Under his command are Ángel Gabriel Guerrero García, Alejandro de la Cruz Ángeles and two more identified only by their aliases, Sebastián "El Negro" and "El Coer".
- Víctor Manuel Bedolla Torres ("Don Vic"): He works for the Sinaloa Cartel and his direct subordinate is Marco Antonio Valdivia Melchor. His direct line of dealers are Daniel Méndez Peñaloza, Ramón Juvera Aguayo, José Guadalupe Gurrola Navarro, Sebastián González Maciel, José Núñez González, Sergio Magallanes Soto and others known only by their aliases, like "El Ronco", "Cabezón", "Ridel", "Veneno", "Caballo", "El Chueco" and "El Kion".
Sánchez Taboada borough
Since 2015, homicide rates in Sánchez Taboada have risen since many drug dealers affiliated with the Tijuana Cartel and the Sinaloa Cartel joined the CJNG. According to police reports, 90% of this borough is controlled by the CJNG. The Sinaloa Cartel has some presence in Camino Verde zone. Sánchez Taboada has 12 drug sale locations; 10 controlled by the CJNG and 2 controlled by the Sinaloans.
El Cabo 50 from the CJNG controls most of Sánchez Taboada. However, his power is also divided with two ring leaders, Adrián Homero Hernández Quintero and Jesús Enrique Martínez Soto ("Ñañas"). The criminals on the streets are Cristian Reynoso Ordaz, Axel González, Kevin Aguilar, Alberto Rocha, David López González, Abel Osuna Luna and Aarón Lizárraga García.
Under the the Sinaloa Cartel is a man identified by his alias "El Prieto". His direct subordinate is Fernando Joel Flores Logar, who has Gerardo Escobedo, Alberto Diaz and two men known by their aliases "El Pantera" and "El Pica" under his command.
Homicides increase in Zona Este
In March 2020, there was atypical gang activitiy reported in Zona Este, specifically in Cañadas del Florido zone. This zone is primarily under the control of the siblings Francisco and Luis Mendoza Uriarte, who are collectively referred to as Los Uriarte. They share the turf with siblings René and Alfonso Arzate García, known as Los Arzate.
Baja California authorities stated that the Sinaloa Cartel has several safe houses in this area where they store drugs before they are smuggled into the United States. Those responsible for supervising these properties are Alberto López Uriarte, Gustavo Germán Ayala ("El Patachín") and José Luis Correa Verdín.
Authorities were unable to identify which CJNG members are responsible for supervising safe houses in the area. However, they indicated that the CJNG has safe houses in Mariano Matamoros, in several industrial park locations, in Colonia Francisco Villa and El Florido Sector One and El Florido Sector Two.
The police discovered 26 drug sale locations that are controlled by two Sinaloa Cartel members:
- Gabriel Modesto Lázaro Meave
- Sansón de Jesús Enrique Hernández
Both of them receive support from "El Chelo" Mejía López – the brother of Hugo Mejía López ("El Griego") – Héctor Ramón Díaz Valles, Vladimir Rubio Ramírez and José Vera Rizo. Many of these suspects already have arrest warrants for their capture and are being sought by state officials.

Raul has spent 6 years in US Federal prison and will be released next week. He should be deported back to Mexico, where he is a citizen. He has not paid back CDS for the loads he lost. The mexican army also got Nacho Coronel out of the way for La Mencha, and Lt. Arturo Guzman Decena out of the way for los zetas de El Judas and las marinelas took El Barbas out of the way for FECAL and genarco garcia luna and el Lazca out for moreira, and it was all no coincidence, the military obey their politicos and the politicos obey their business associates.

The reason they can't take out michoacan is because they don't back down and have good sicarios to fight with CJNG, other places get scared and instead of fighting them they would rather join them than get killed. Marro is getting cornered and cjng took most of Guanajuato and killed most his trusted SICARIOS, it's only a matter of time before he's killed or CAPTURED.

@9:26 CDS got a foothold in TJ when they started supplying Teo and his crew with weapons after he ran to Sinaloa when Inge and his people beat his fat ass. Without Teo becoming a proxy, CDS doesn't expand in TJ.
