Army soldiers managed to capture a Los Viagras cell, which was seized with at least 20 heavy caliber rifles, including a Barret 50 mm caliber rifle, as well as two armored trucks for organized crime; This, after a shooting in which two members of Los Viagras were killed and two others were wounded.

Among those captured was Heladio Cisneros Menera, alias "La Sirena", who for at least a couple of years has been identified as the leader of Los Viagras en La Ruana.

As the soldiers were leaving a rapid and intense mobilization of hitmen, led by Nicolás Sierra Santana "El Gordo", maximum leader of Los Viagras, prevented their exit.

With highway blocks with vehicles and burned tires, the criminals prevented the military from passing through the Apatzingán - Aguililla highway.

The blockades were reported in the communities of División del Norte (Crucero de Catalinas), Pinzándaro and El Terrero, the latter where the shooting and confrontation took place.

Other blockades were reported in Catalinas, Santa Ana, and the Cenobio Moreno neighborhoods, with the criminals closing in on the military, who ended up releasing the detainees, and returning the weapons and the secured "monster" armored vehicles.

Heladio Cisneros, "La Sirena", has been identified as head of the Viagras plaza in La Ruana, since at least 2018, a trusted person of Nicolás "El Gordo" Sierra Santana, the latter who was seen as very active by various points in the area, aboard a cherry-colored Ford Lobo van, accompanied by heavily armed men in military clothing.

In March 2019, the arrest of "La Sirena" was reported, and residents reported that he was released by the authorities after a bribe of $ 150 thousand pesos. He was also captured in May 2018, and was also released.

  1. The moment CJNG goes down these guys are taking over, you can feel it already. You may say Viagras are the only thing stopping the CJNG from completely taking over Michoacan and I say it’s the CJNG that is preventing the Viagras from complete control.

  8. What a disgrace, the Mexican army has no backbone and illustrates what a failed narco state Mexico has become. It looks like they are unwilling to fight for a government that is completely corrupted by the cartels.

  10. So no capture. Just a scuffle with a handshake & a hug in the end.
    This military exercise seems worthless.

  11. Funny thing when the military could have called in Apaches and Huey gunships. Payoff was in place this does not happen when there is rapid access to aviation military hardware for backup and protection. $$$$$$$

    1. That's what I was thinking....Just have a chopper in and extract all military assets and prisoners. Abandon the vehicles after exploding them. Then they can burn all the tires and cars they f-n want.

    2. Wrong!!!! The Mexican people are not stupid...you show your ignorance by saying that...The Mexican people are hard workers who have nothing, but, will share their little piece of nothing if you ask..What could you do in a country where the elite don't want you to get ahead and the cartels will kill you or your family if you protest? Pray for the people of Mexico, they need it... I am an American who has lived there for almost 14 years of my life I no longer do but I know the people...

  14. Sounds like what happened in Culiacan. Lack of planning by the Mexican military. They should have foreseen this possibility. Professionalism is seriously absent.

  21. Nobody died, la sirena has been fingered and manhandled, and will fall again.
Let's remember the governor AREOLAS CONEJO is a PRD puppet of EPN and was installed in power by alfredo castillo who also gave Michoacan to the fuerza rurales, el americano, viagras and the whole bunch of criminals and chapulines that jumped from LFM to CT to AD to Viagras.
--Wonder why are army elements playing dumb blond tourist sightseeing?
