CDN is being blamed for the massacre.
After
a shooting attack on a grocery store, eight people were killed today by firearm
impacts in Ciudad Victoria, including a 10 year old child.
At
around 6:30 p.m., the Tamaulipas Attorney General's Office reported, a report
of detonations was received in the Colonia Constituyentes.
The
attacked establishment functioned as a grocery business, on whose premises a
body shop also operated, and where state elements from the State Public
Security Secretariat arrived.
Once
they received the report of the firearm shots, investigating police officers
went to the aforementioned site, where the bodies of 8 people with bullet
impacts were found.
The
FGJT pointed out that the incident took place inside and outside the grocery
store.

My 2 main reasons being:
1. Comments are sometime grossly offensive to "some" readers. But these often seem grounded in realities close to the fields of action ( loved ones of victims, keen observers, witnesses, perpetrator or participants, etc)
2. Valuable DATA: These "offensive or "on the edge" comments (because of #1, above) are valuable data chronicling the history of Mexico's narco-related situations. Someday, there will be scholars combing the commentaries and finding interesting patterns of which we can only guess at this time.
So, I support what you and your staff decide is best for BB.
P.S. I strongly support your keeping archives of what come through BB.

Well MW...I was sent an interesting long term study saying much of what you state. It studies BB vs El Universal for scope of news content and the value of narco blogs in general but BB in particular "the best". I will be posting the study today or tomorrow. It is a 10 year study. stay tuned
