Elements of the State Investigation Agency (AEI), reported this Saturday, May 2, that the former agent of the Municipal Police of San Luis Río Colorado, Marco Polo Márquez Tamayo, 30 years old, and his 3-year-old son, were declared lifeless at 10:00 pm on Friday, May 1, in the emergency area at the Almater Hospital clinic, located in the east of Mexicali.

On the night of Friday, May 1, when Marco Polo Márquez Tamayo arrived at the house located on Macarena Street, near the corner of Plaza España, in Residencial Sevilla, in Mexicali, where he was surprised by a criminal who approached him and shot him  least 5 times with a short gun.

During the attack against this former police officer from San Luis Río Colorado, his 3-year-old son ran towards his father and received an impact on the head, after the attack, both were supported by neighbors who heard the bullets, and when seeing them injured they were transferred in their cars to a private hospital - identified as Almater -, on Friday night they had not released the information regarding the medical situation of the wounded.

Municipal and ministerial police officers from Mexicali came to protect the scene, where the shell caps and blood were found.

Last April, Márquez Tamayo was residing in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora when a group of hooded men, dressed in tactical equipment and armed, appeared, shot in front of his home on Coahuila Avenue, where they exhibited themselves in front of surveillance cameras during several minutes, without the municipal police coming in support.

  • Elements of the intelligence departments of the police in Sonora and Mexicali reported that the ex-agent attacked was related to a criminal group in the Gulf of Santa Clara, and to the hired killers who were looking for him with the criminal group "Los Salazar", linked to the cartel. from Sinaloa.

  1. Something he did led to this tragedy. Majority of these incidents are due to collaboration with criminal organizations.
Sad thing is like many innocent people becoming victims of parents activities.

    2. 12:18 yep, this man was somenthing like you said and this wasnt the first atack against him, a few days ago of this murder, a couple who were travel aboard a cherokee in slrc ( city where this man was a officer) were heavily shot and both them lost their lives or just one, im not sure. But a few days later it was revealed that the owner of the chreokee was this officer, there is a theory that the aggressors thought the officer was the one who drives. by the way, in san luis the house were this officer lived was shoted and theres a video.

  8. Why was Marco Polo Márquez a "former" police officer at such a young age? Too young to retire, did he go to the other side?

  11. Poor child. My heart aches when I read of innocent children caught up in this situation that they have no control for. And those killers will surely get away with it too. Mexico seems very hopeless at this stage.

  12. Dudes house had been shot the fuck up month prior.. decides to stay and get killed. Sounds like he switched sides or got whacked for not working the enemy. Either way he was fucked. What was this guy thinking staying in town, frankly and say to say but terrible thinking on his end. Should’ve got his shit, sold property, moved the fuck out and his fam ASAP

  13. 1:43 collateral damages should stay away from family and friends, specially after working with crooked corrupt torcidos.
Nothing justifies the killing of a young child, no way it is an accident.
