Jose Escudero Escandón, leader of the CAF(los Pilotos) arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping

The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), through the Office of the Special Prosecutor for Organized Crime Investigation (SEIDO), began proceedings against José Luis Escudero Escandón for his probable responsibility in the crime of aggravated kidnapping, carried out in Ensenada in August 2019.

After various investigative and field work, the FGR, through SEIDO, obtained an arrest warrant against this person, which was completed by elements of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) on January 27 in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

Subsequently, the Control Judge, attached to the Federal Criminal Justice Center in Baja California, based in Ensenada, linked him to the process, imposing unlawful preventive detention and remaining an inmate at the Federal Center for Social Readaptation number 14 "CPS-Durango".

The defense today appealed the process before the corresponding Judge.

After the appeal, the Magistrate of the Fifth Unitary Court of the Fifteenth Circuit Court of Appeal, confirmed the order of association to a process previously decreed.

José Luis Escudero Escandon, “El Quieto” and/or “El Pelos” is identified by the authorities  leader of the Arellano Félix Cartel in the state.

Federal Agent arrested in Amsterdam

In the same criminal case 06/2020 for aggravated kidnapping, Ricardo Bozada, a former federal agent in the service of the CAF, was detained on March 11 at the Mexico City airport when he got off a flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

On the 17th of the same month and imprisoned in the same Federal Center for Social Readaptation “CPS 14 DURANGO” same prison as Escudero.

Last August Narco-Mantas were hung, and left with a dead, bloody pig.  The messages  threatened the former agent and accused him of just about everything; stealing money, drug shipments, extortion and the kidnapping of innocents.
