Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- A federal ministerial police
officer was shot dead, along with a civilian, who was said to be his driver,
outside an OXXO store in Ciudad Victoria in the afternoon today.
The murder occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. today in the
parking lot of the OXXO store located in the San José neighborhood.
It was learned that an Equinox gray van was parked in the
place and three people inside.
A source from the Attorney General's Office confirmed that one
of the victims was a federal police investigative officer assigned to Ciudad
Mante, who was with his driver and one other person in the back seat. The driver was killed by a shot to the head.

The attack was said to have been carried out by several armed
civilians while passing by in a car.
Elements of the Attorney General's Office came to the site,
initiating investigations.
