In a two-part video message, members of the Cartel Jalisco
Nueva Generación (CJNG) accuses authorities of the San Luis Potosí government,
referring to them as Cártel De Los Ministeriales, and José Guadalupe Castillo
Celestino, as the leader of the cartel. Jose
Guadalupe Castillo is the commander of the Ministerial Police.
CJNG says that he has “sold” the plaza in support of Northeast
Cartel (CDN), the Gulfo Cartel (CDG), and Cártel De Los Alemánes (CDA).
CJNG also dissociates themselves from being behind the wave of
violence that afflicts the SLP and assures that it is not they who have
dedicated themselves to committing a series of murders or extortions and accuse
the three groups named above of being guilty of those crimes.
"José Guadalupe Castillo Celestino, you know perfectly
well that we did not unleash the war in the capital, you should better explain
to the different government agencies the new alliances that you made with the Golfos
and Northeast, through your pact with the Cartel de los Alemanes ” says the narrative.
Theyalso accuse that
same official of having allowed the entry of the aforementioned crime
organizations and that is the reason why there have been murders in recent
weeks in the state capital, and they even accuse the governor of San Luis
Potosí, Juan Manuel Carreras of being aware of everything.

DeleteBack in March, SEMAR held a press conference w/ AMLO from San Luis Potosi where they released the cartel map of San Luis Potosi and in the press conference, SEMAR had identified El Comandante Aleman the former Zeta as the "principal operador" of CJNG in SLP. What's your take on the apparent discrepancy between SEMAR stating that Comandante Aleman is CJNG, and now CJNG coming out in these narco messages and talking against los Alemanes?

DeleteThis is a link to the SEMAR press conference. The cartel map of SLP they released can be seen at 37:35 with Alfredo Aleman Narvaez identified as leader of the CJNG in SLP
I have that map but it was confusing. I prefer the LSR map which came out rigjht after the cofnerence. The conference gave the map and some info not yet fully investigated. Soon the map dissappeared from the website.

Yea that makes sense, I think I had read in La Silla Rota that SEMAR ended up deleting that initial map because some info that was not yet fully confirmed and as you mention not fully investigated yet. It could be that the identification of Aleman as leader of CJNG was done in error

DeleteCJNG facing losses from the government switching sides since the government seized 3 billion from them. They’ll either collapse or retreat from certain plazas and consolidate the most valuable and return to the others once they’ve stabilized.
