At the Garita III Mariposa border
crossing in Nogales, Sonora, elements of the National Guard in coordination
with personnel from the Tax Administration Service (SAT) detain a US citizen in
possession of 32,740 heavy-caliber ammo.
The arrest occurred when the
driver of a suv crossed the fiscal area at an excessive speed to evade the
security filter, and when carrying out various maneuvers he was hit and
overturned meters later. The driver was attended immediately and suffered no serious
injuries.
Upon conducting an on-site
inspection, the National Guardsmen placed various cartridges inside the van and
others more scattered on the asphalt.
Once the cartridges were counted
and packed, the driver, together with the seized, was turned over to the
Attorney General of the Republic in the entity, after reading the suspect his
rights and entering their data in the National Detention Registry.
Great catch hope they keep siezed the ammo, which will save a lot of lives, before being used by the criminals.

Me dediqué al trafico de armas por muchos años en nogales y es Un negociaso... estas balas quiza eran mitad para chapos mitad para mayos o. En 3 partes dividas pal mencho los chapos y los mayos. Se escucha mal pero. A nosotros no nos importa a quien vayan las balas mientras paguen el dinero. Una caja de 1000 tiros de cuerno cuesta entre 800 a 900 dlls en Culiacan. En usa cuestan 240 dlls ea un negocio que deja muchisimas ganacias como la droga . Los browning 50 cal se venden hasta en 42 mil dlls en culiacan. cuando en usa cuestan 12500. Y muchos mas que les podria poner de ejemplo. Se ah detalle el negocio del trafico de armas en esta región desgraciadamente yo fui unos de los que se dedicó a esto por mucho tiempo. Y la vdd no ahi un dia en el que no me sienta arrepentido y sucio. Por haber dejado que tanta gente muriera con mi mercancía. Gente inocente que no tiene la culpa de nada. DeleteWolf 7.62 x 39 boxes. But why blur out the packaging? My guess is either copyright issues (very unlikely) or to protect the chain of sales. With barcodes one can track where, when and who purchased the ammo (if paid via credit card)
DeleteLooks like boxes of the same wolf brand 7.62 ammo. Cheap but it will still kill. From what I hear ammo is around 50.cents a round. That's a good siezure to keep out of there hands.

ReplyDeleteThey do not want the brand names of the ammo published because there is no proof that those company's are involved in the smuggling of their ammo to be used illegally by organized crime groups. If the Mexican government was to publish the brand names they are putting forward that the company's know that their product is being illegally exported for use in organized crime. So, if they publish the brand names those companies are within their rights to take the Mexican government to court and have them prove that they were legally complicit with their product being exported and used by the organized crime groups which would be very hard for the Mexican government to do and if they could not in turn those companies could sue for liable. That is why the Mexican authorities are reluctant to show the product names or symbols.

DeleteThats some cheap ass fmj ammo wolf 7.62x39 but from what i know 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 cost around 10000-15000 pesos depending on the region ,so its a 2 to 3 times profit , guns and ammo are 2-3 times marked up some places even higher , just depends on the regional war zone
