Security forces detained Juan Pablo “N”, alias “El Cadena”, head of the plaza and lieutenant of the “Los Piña” criminal cell, belonging to the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), in the municipality of Catemaco, State of Veracruz.
According to the first reports, the events occurred in a safe house on Calle 10 de Mayo, between María Boettiger and Narciso Mendoza, in the Don Pedro neighborhood.
At dawn this Wednesday, elements of the Civil Force received a report on armed people in that place and, when they arrived, they were received with bullets.
In the confrontation, a member of the aforementioned criminal group was killed, which operates in the municipalities of Lerdo de Tejada, Santiago Tuxtla, San Andrés Tuxtla, Catemaco, Isla and Vicente Beach, in the southern part of the Veracruz state.
The elements of the Civil Force, which depend on the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), as well as the National Guard, arrested "El Cadena" and secured weapons for the exclusive use of the army.
As part of the United for the Construction of Peace program, “El Cadena” was made available to the corresponding authority. Juan Pablo "N" had just been dismissed from his position of duty in 2019 by the Secretary of State Public Security.
It should be remembered that, on July 28, Raúl Gonzalo “N” was arrested in the Los Tuxtlas area, who is identified as an alleged operator and supplier of firearms for the “Los Piña” group.
In addition, on August 20, elements of the Ministry of Public Security apprehended 11 members of a gang dedicated to transport robbery in the municipality of Cosoleacaque, also belonging to the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel.

ReplyDeleteI think the days of the super Cartels are slowly but steadily waning. Too many whacked out psychopaths that through impunity and corruption can get away with trafficking. The big Capos are pretty much being pushed out. These youngsters don't have the "touch" needed to keep everyone in line. It's gonna get worse before better. I predict the death announcements of Mencho and Mayo this year. Whether they go naturally or from ballistic trauma it'll happen soon. It's also possible they fake it ala Azul, Cheyo etc...But, I think the world is too small nowdays. Until the people of Mexico collectively do something about the corruption, that poor country is going to get even more mideviel. JMO
