The cartel of Santa Rosa de Lima just before and after the fall 'El Marro'

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat   TY Gus

Note: On March 3, 2019, the Governor of Guanajuato announced the operation "Golpe de Timón". The strategy which promised the prompt capture of José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, El Marro and, to end the theft of fuel in the entity.  516 days later. Time in which El Marro was captured. State and federal authorities say they "constantly" had been following him right on his heels. The huachicolero was lucky. On 5 occasions he escaped from the police forces when they "almost" had him. Prior to the capture, the Financial Intelligence Unit blocked  the accounts of 11 people related to the legal defense of' 'El Marro'.

In an operation of no more than 15 minutes, El Marro was apprehended by state and federal authorities.  The capture was recorded early this Sunday morning, around 4:00. On a ranch in Juventino Rosas. El Marro and his assassins tried to defend themselves. They returned light, sporadic fire.

The criminals were already alerted. A government drone was flying overhead, and the halcones, the safety net that had been most effective for Yépez Ortíz, were slow to react. Specialized elements had the ranch surrounded. El Marro was there, and he had nowhere to run.

The photographs of his face, which have already traveled around the world, show a distressed and weeping-eyed criminal. Weakened face, of what was a dangerous criminal. Subjected to the ground, El Marro had no choice but to answer the agents' questions. He identified himself as a 40-year-old man, the son of Rodolfo Yépez and María Ortíz.

The Governor of Guanajuato and the State Forces hunted Marro “without rest” for 516 days. This August 2 in Guanajuato, a new story begins. The authorities gave the hardest blow in recent times.

With the arrest of “El Marro”, the internal crisis that is experienced within the local organization called Cartel de Santa Rosa de Lima (CSRL) is further aggravated, due to the arrests of various members by authorities from the three levels of government, who have pointed out the corruption networks with municipal authorities of Villagrán, Irapuato, Tamimoro, Santa Cruz de Juventino Rosa, and Santiago Maravatio, Guanajuato.

According to various documents and analyzes of the intelligence areas of the Federal government and the Armed Forces held by Grupo Imagen, the internal crisis and the struggles between the same members, generated a rupture between "El Marro" and the Lara Belman family, who during years were the close operators of "El Marro".

The structure of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL), was made up until dawn this Sunday by the leader "El Marro" , who had in his circle close to his financial operators who respond with the name and alias of Adán alias "paiki", María Guadalupe, "Piyu" and Angélica Mora Villalobos.

While those responsible for the theft of fuel, are headed by Martín Patiño Reyes, "Bala", Eadurdo Ortiz Reyes, "Calamandro", Leonel "N" and "Mov" (So far there is no report of full names, only aliases).

Within the family circle of the leader of the CSRL, are his parents Maria Eva Ortiz and his father Rodolfo Reyes Godo are Yepez and and brothers and Rodolfo Lizbeth Karem.

The investigations conducted reveal that "El Marro" had three romantic relationships. The first with his wife Elsa Marisol Martínez Prieto with whom he had three children; the second with his romantic partner Karina Mora Villalobos with two children and the third with his lover Andrea Magdalena Cervantes Ariza, alias “La Maga”.

The criminal circle of the CSRL, is headed by José Carmen López Belman, alias “Tortugo” who is the chief of plaza in Celaya, Guanajuato, who along with his escort Ismael “N”, “Nacaro”, Noé Lara Belman, “Puma” ( second in command but reportedly already had jumped to CJNG side), Eliseo Gutiérrez Belman Titis (operational manager), El “JC”, Plaza manager in Zamora, Michoacán, Juan Elías Guzmán Escamilla, alias “El Metra”, Plaza manager in Yuriria and Salvatierra.

The CSRL sicariate structure is headed by "El Charly”, who is the distributor of narcotic drugs and by "El Balea", "Sermeño", "Cañas", "Chilango" and Mari, "La Pichona" who is in charge of informants.

The criminal organization headed by Yépez Ortiz, wove corruption networks with different municipal police corporations, who gave him information about the operations against fuel theft and arrest.

According to the documents, those who do not disclose the names of the police officers for their prompt arrest are elements of the Villagrán police: "Hull" and "Friday"; Irapuato Juan de Dios Medina Hérnandez, "Juande", "Marlon"; Tamimoro, Jorge "N", "Rosillo", "Dimas" and "Lupita" N "; while in Santa Cruz de Juventino Rosa, Linaldi “N” and Mauricio “N”, Maury ”were located and in Santiago Maravatio, JuLio“ N ”

The disputes against the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) have unleashed increasing violence in Celaya, Villagrán, Juventino Rosas, Cortázar, Irapuato, Salamanca, Salvatierra, Apaseo el Grande and Apaseo el Alto, which from January to June of this year 2,893 people were executed. According to local authorities, 91 percent of these killings are linked to the confrontation between the aforementioned criminal organizations.

Federal authorities reports indicate that "El Marro" directed the illegal extraction of hydrocarbons in the state of Guanajuato, the cartel's center of operations, with an estimate of daily extraction of 40 to 50 pipes of gasoline from the pipes of Petrolero Mexicanos, represents a profit of 1.5 million dollars a day.

In recent months, the CSRL made an alliance with La Nueva Familia Michoacán (LNFM), made up of criminals from criminal organizations Los Viagras-Templarios-Familia Michoacana to confront the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG).

The LNFM has an alliance with Erick Valencia, alias “El 85”, leader of the Millennium Cartel and nephew of Armando Valencia, a staunch enemy of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “Mencho”.

  1. The alliance will still be fighting Mencha! El Marro isn't the lynchpin like Mencha is. CJNG will disintegrate after Mencha is caged!

  5. Armando Valencia son with Rosalinda, el R3 is some 100 years of solitude story type. The Buendia family. Same family I hear. How can el 85 fight his own cousin, R3? Makes no sense, even if Mencho betrayed him. 85 uncle and R3 dad is chilling in Atherton, rubbing elbows with tech start ups and Venture Capitalist. At this point it's safe to say, best strategy is for him to bounce with his dad to the states. Leave the cartel to 85, if anything happens to Mencho. Menchito ain't built for the future boss life. I'm sure his father would rather let him stay in USA a la Mayo Z, and start his life over here in USA.

Still my man guy in this whole thing is Alfredo Beltran Leyva.. homie was all the way stand up. I hear he still is.

Chapo Isidro still honors his boss de Los Mazatlecos.

    3. Now the press is writing 85 is an ally of LV, LNFM, CT, Abuelo, CU, CSRL, CNP, La Corona, CDS etc, etc? BS. Maybe he retired for all we know.
Does anybody actually believe the boss is the only one with all the contacts to the corrupt authorities, accountants, suppliers, chemist, transporters, pilots, captains, storage, smugglers, wholesale customers, sicarios, weapons providers etc, etc? A lot of lugartenientes in the organization and they consult, advise and carry out the orders instructed to them but they also move product to their own clients and areas they control. Will the violence increase, stay the same or decrease with the dismantling and capture of CSRL/Marro? That possibly might give us an indication or answer regarding the GTO situation.

    2. 9:27 AM Where did you get that El 85 Erick Valencia flipped on Mencho and Los Cuinis? Erick Valencia is in Colima fighting what is left of El Gerardon and his people.

CJNG doesn't control Colima, Tecoman, Ixtlahuacán at least as far as I know but I did hear rumors that they took Tecoman.

    3. @2:17 maybe an oversight but El Gerardon was killed in PG

  8. I thought 85 was let out by Mencho? Don't think he's related to Armando Valencia. Valencia is a common last name in Mich. Also wasn't 85 and Mencho the ones who gave up El Lobo Oscar Nava Valencia?

    1. These idiots, dont know what they're talking about. Forging imaginary alliances to make their favorite organization look good in the face of defeat.

      85 is with CJNG.
NP is always hiding from CJNG.
      Cds dont want a confrontation.
CJNG will move to Michoacan next.

    2. The NP video pretty much confirmed that 85 is still with CJNG. The speaker asks “Don Erick” to come join NP. The video also confirmed that 53 was with NP because the speaker asks why Mencho sent someone to kill their “compadre 53”.

  11. that is what the gob says and dea. however 85 and cholo head up cnp in alliance with cds...its complicated. i don't think marro was 'captured' i think his giving up was part of a deal.

cholo has proven to be a defiant fearless foe, who pretended to be a close ally of mencho.

    1. 10:44 AM Chivis EL Cholo and the NP are fighting CJNG the same way Marro was hit and run tactics always hiding always worried about getting killed which happens more often then not Tlaquepaque and Tlaqumulco de Zuniga are both a killing field. Not all the dead in Guadalajara are Cartel related their are tens of thousands of street gang members in the Guadalajara Metro area but in those two areas you can be assured the dead are cartel related. Why so many? CJNG and Nueva Plaza are killing a cousin, brother, sister, in laws wiping out whole families. That is the reason their are so many dead. CJNG isn't playing around.

    2. Keep up the good Chivis! There was actually a bit of a "shoot out" in Juventino Rosas before el Marro gave up. He was surrounded and his halcones relayed the info that justice was in his kitchen much less the fron door eay too late. Marro was really on his last legs (ever notice he has been wearing the same jeans for quite sometime lol)for a while. CJNG and Gov't has been all over GTO the last couple of years evidenced by all the death.

  13. He escaped being killed by CJNG aswell, look what happened to his brother-in-law. He was also present and ran like a true pussy.

All these carteles claim to be battling CJNG but none openly combat them head-to-head lol even the Michoacan cartels, they always get their asses handed to them when parading down streets. Only time I can remember CJNG loosing a battle is the one in tepeke.

  14. Lol at all of the clowns riding for CJNG. They claimed they won the plaza of Guanajuato but there was an average of 12 deaths a day in Guanajuato? Does that sound like a plaza under control? That’s sounds like CSRL is still alive and fighting with all its will like a animal backed into a corner. CSRL survived this long because it’s deep political ties, the Lara bellman brothers founded it Marro simply overpowered their faction but the organization was always bigger than Marro. Someone in CSRL gave him up in cahoots with other criminal groups to get Alfonso Durazo a win and get los federales off their backs a bit. All this talk about Mencho ordering his capture is pure bogus. If he had that power why did it take him 2 years of the most brutal war over a plaza to finally pull that card? He might’ve known what was happening after it was ordered but this wasn’t his decision. It’ll be interesting to see how CSRL reorganizes and how much support Mayos faction sends them to fend off CJNG.

    1. Here we go AGAIN.. 😆
Well, the REASON MENCHO was AFTER marro was BECAUSE MARRO killed mencho nephew when mencho sent HIM to negotiate with MARRO.. MARRO answered by killing mencho nephew, it WAS more PERSONAL than PEOPLE think..
MAYO helping in to Guanajuato might be TRUE doe to the FACT that MENCHO took his PEOPLE and 0laza in baja California
THAT old man just needs to RETIRE, at this point MENCHO has that PLAZA and it would be nearly impossible for CDS WEAK SICARIOS to take it BACK..
