Top Three Narcos Wanted by the DEA

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  TY Gus  Source

The drug traffickers have not stopped their operations because of the Covid-19 restrictions, but the DEA, at the same time, has not stopped, either. The hunt for the top 3 most wanted Drug Lords, some of the most dangerous men wanted by the DEA continues.

According to the DEA, the capture of the famed Sinaloa Cartel Kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman and his appearance in U.S. Federal Court last year, sent a message you will get caught. With El Chapo behind bars, the DEA is now looking for his son.

"One of our fugitives is El Chapo Guzman‘s son Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar and he too has been involved in narcotics trade, involved with his father, trafficking cocaine methamphetamine heroin across the southwest border," said Dante Sorianello, the assistant special agent in charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in the San Antonio district.

El Chapo’s son was released a few hours after his arrest, because the Sinaloa Cartel wreaked havoc in Mexico with gun fights and violence on the streets. El Chapo’s son was involved heavily in the business of his father, and while Mexico may have come under pressure to release him in order to save innocent lives, the DEA does not feel the same, which is why Guzman is still in hiding.

The second most wanted Mexican Drug Kingpin is Rafael Caro Quintero, who was involved in the death DEA agent, Enrique “Kike” Camarena. Caro Quintero, known as “Narco of Narcos,” is the Mexican Drug Godfather and one of the founders of the Guadalajara Cartel back in the 1970s. Caro Quintero was released from a Mexican prison after serving 28 years of a 40-year sentence after a court concluded he was tried improperly. The DEA has a $20 million reward on information that leads to his arrest.

At the top of the world's most wanted list for the DEA is the new top drug boss in Mexico, known as “El Mencho.” According to the DEA, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes is the head of Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación. Not only is El Mencho the most wanted criminal in Mexico, but also one of the most wanted in the U.S. and a reward up to $10 million dollars leading to his capture.

Today, El Mencho is said by the DEA to be responsible for a large amount of drugs entering the United States by land and by sea.

"These fugitives in Mexico, they work hard to avoid law enforcement and the Mexican government in coordination with us, is looking very hard for these individuals and they remain sometimes hidden in the cities, at safe houses and also they remain hidden in the countryside," said Sorianello.

  1. I would think Ivan Archivaldo would be more wanted than Jesus Alfredo, it was Ovidio that was caught and released not Jesus Alfredo, Ivan Archivaldo is the one who ordered the release of Ovidio, does anyone know anything about Cesar Guzman Salazar? Is he involved in the drug trade at all? I heard he was the only brother not involved.

    2. There will always be good and evil. You can't stop getting rid of the evil just because it persists. That would be like saying we shouldn't prosecute killers because we can't stop them all.

  10. Chivis what’s your opinion on the conspiracy theory that Mencho, and CJNG Elite are fabricated by the Mexican military? Supposedly they’re used as a cover for highly illegal operations such as targeted assasaniations.

I honestly wouldn’t be against it if true.

  11. Jalisco you claim ántrax supplied info maybe chino spilled the beans on all the people he didn’t like from his cartel like chapós but in reality the ántrax where eliminated by mayo because he used them to kill his own people like Baltazar Diaz, Julio Beltran, polaco ,Edgar Guzmán and so many smart rich men from culiacan almost every family in culiacan knows this but nobody says anything they just go about their lives like nothing happen so they can keep spending the money they left behind
