Atlixco, Puebla: CJNG Extortion Phone Calls Have Increased

It’s a telephone number from Morelos, they claim to belong to the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación and they want a taxation in exchange for the protection of families.

In the last 72 hours, the number of telephone extortion calls in this municipality has increased by 30 percent, confirmed auxiliary authorities and business owners.

Above all, according to representatives from the auxiliary presidency of Metepec, the largest in Atlixco, locals have denounced at least 15 different calls.

"It's a telephone number from Morelos, they claim to be from the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación and they want a taxation for the protection of our families," said an official from that community.

Meanwhile, some owners of small establishments in the city center exposed their complaints about the constant calls made to mobile phones.

"A moment ago one of my employees was crying because they were trying to extort her for money and she fell for their trap. She was about to lose 2,000 pesos," said the owner of a taqueria located a block from the towns square.

The local police admitted the existence of reports in this regard, but no one has filed any complaints for the aforementioned crime.

  2. I don't understand why people believe this shit lmao. Come one exactly what the guy above me says. You really think CJNG or ANY cartel would make phone calls and say hey this is CJNG and we want $2000 pesos. What is that 100$??? No mames lmao🤣 come on guys, it is known that all over Mexico HORRIBLE cartels commit crimes in the name of their rivals. For 1 if they get money from the crime it's theirs and 2 it helps throw dirt o them in the public eye. It's a win win. Doesn't make it right but it happens. I'm not saying cjng doesn't do it because they ALL do it. It's a tactic of war . Then they come and "clean" and win over the public. It's a cycle
Or it's some bottom of the barrel dudes taking advantage of the brand and using it to scare ppl into submission/cooperation.
