Wife of “El Chapo” Arrested on International Drug Trafficking Charges
The wife of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera, leader of a Mexican drug trafficking organization known as the Sinaloa Cartel, was arrested today in Virginia on charges related to her alleged involvement in international drug trafficking.
Emma Coronel Aispuro, 31, a dual U.S.-Mexican citizen, of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, was arrested today at Dulles International Airport. She is scheduled to make her initial appearance in federal court tomorrow in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia via video conference.
According to court documents, Aispuro is charged with participating in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana for importation into the U.S. Additionally, Coronel Aispuro is alleged to have conspired with others to assist Guzman in his July 11, 2015 escape from Altiplano prison, located in Almoloya de Juarez, Mexico. After Guzman was re-arrested in Mexico in January 2016, Coronel Aispuro is alleged to have engaged in planning yet another prison escape with others prior to Guzman’s extradition to the U.S. in January 2017.

Poor Twin Girls No Father No Mother
ReplyDeleteWow, are they desperate for cash or what? You would think they’d keep her at a distance from the drugs.
ReplyDeleteTo summarize the Affidavit in Support of PC for those that don’t have the time: the allegations of conspiracy to traffic are supported by very sparse evidence (most of which are just further allegations from CIs). Most of the affidavit is spent discussing CDS leaders (Chapo, MZ, Emma’s dad, Los Chapitos) and their activities. The only specific allegations against Emma Coronel are passing messages to Chapo while he was on the run and in Altiplano, as well as helping plan the Alitplano escape, and a few examples of money laundering. Nothing really in the way of financing or directing actual drug shipments. Charge Emma for money laundering and it’s an easy win, but I think the government is making a reach with the trafficking charges. These high-profile narco cases are kind of a rigged game, but Emma Coronel stands a chance to win on a few counts.
Delete7:08 be acquitted on a few counts and get extra points added on the guilty charges for going to trial. It's her ass that going to pay the Piper

DEA is trying to press her to find where the money is. Do you honestly believe she was trying to smuggle 1 kilo of cocaine and weed? They’re trying scare tactics, we’ll take your kids, blah blah. DEA spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to catch Chapo and here we are, they didn’t collect a single dime.
ReplyDelete@9:44 I agree. Looks like a pressure play. Pony up or else. The DEA and the IRS can play gangster too.
DeletePlus she is a US citizen and will be subject to full prosecution. She better just start talking, better for her outcome. US Drug agents probably licking there chops waiting for this..
ReplyDeleteshe is innocent, those kind stay above the fray. phone calls in code ? sure. this depends on fairness of the judge, who should throw it right out.if no bail, she is toast trying to get her to throw for a deal. she should hold out, its a scam dear. dont do this crap to her kids, that is criminal coppers.
