The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), through the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM), of the Coordination of Investigation Methods in its Northwest region, carried out various searches during the month of January, where it managed to arrest people and securing approximately one ton of methamphetamine, as well as other substances.
The elements of the PFM, in a coordinated manner and after constant research and field work, managed to execute about 30 searches during the month of January with warrants obtained from different Federal Judges. Proceedings were completed in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, and Sonora.
In Tijuana, Baja California, the federal elements carried out six searches, where they arrested 16 people, approximately five kilograms of methamphetamine, more than 100 cartridges of different calibers, secured two buildings, synthetic cards, paper with the appearance of monetary bills, and more than one kilo of marijuana.
In Sinaloa, on the Culiacán - Mazatlán Highway at kilometer 25, in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, an individual was detained, as well as around 10 kilograms of methamphetamine and a tractor-trailer with two semi-trailers. Also in Mazatlán, a property and approximately 120 liters of hydrocarbon were secured; in Culiacán, the diligence of police work resulted in three detainees and the property, a vehicle and various substances secured and confiscated.
Near Culiacán, another search was carried out where more than Two Tons of Crystal, (see below) five kilos of Fentanyl, 100 tablets of Fentanyl and 300 kilograms of marijuana were seized. In addition, seven vehicles and a tractor-trailer were seized.
The Navy seized Two Tons of methamphetamine in the domains of the Sinaloa Cartel:
The boat was intercepted by Naval Guards in Sinaloa. In what was recorded as the second major hit to drug trafficking this year, the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico intercepted a boat loaded with at least two tons of methamphetamine on the coast of Tolobampo, an area dominated by Sinaloa Cartel.
According to the agency’s statement, naval personnel seized the 96 packages with drugs, approximately to 12 nautical miles south of the coast of Topolobampo, Ahome, Sinaloa. This was during the recent Friday, January 29, while the coast guard carried out patrols through the sector.
A King Air plane, habitually used in these tasks by the Navy, detected a suspicious and Reform-type vessel named “Diamante”. After spotting this vehicle, an operation by sea, air and land was developed to intercept it.
Three surface units were deployed and the sailors stopped this boat which, according to a video, was circulating at high speed. That is how the 96 packages with crystal (methamphetamine) inside were secured, whose weight was calculated in two thousand kilograms.

The two people who were aboard this vehicle were arrested and, once insured, they were identified as José “N”, 53 years old and Fredy “N”, 33 years old.
José and Fredy were detained, along with the boat and the drugs, at the facilities of the Naval Sector of Topolobampo to be made available to the authorities, in order to determine the ministerial process as well as the corresponding procedures that will allow integrating the investigation folder.
“These actions are part of the maritime, air and land surveillance operations carried out by the Secretariat of the Navy-Navy of Mexico to maintain the rule of law and inhibit criminal action, with the aim of guaranteeing security on the Mexican coast; actions with which this Institution reaffirms its commitment to the public to fight organized crime with the resources provided by law, always in strict adherence to Human Rights, ”the military institution indicated.
Likewise, in the Colonia Las Quintas, in Culiacán Sinaloa, the ministerial police officers seized about 980 kilograms of methamphetamine, various documents and a digital weighing scale.
In Chihuahua:
Similarly, in actions carried out by the PFM, in the state of Chihuahua, 10 people and different substances were detained, among which marijuana, methamphetamine, crystal , firearms, cartridges, cash and real estate stand out.
Two buildings were seized, possibly stash houses, three dump trucks, more than 10 slot machines, among other objects.

DeleteDrug war will never stop as long as these drugs are illegal and there’s demand. Many years down the road we will look back at this point in history and realize how stupid we all were. Maybe it will be another civilization who will learn from our mistakes. Quien sabe, but I won’t get to live or tell that story, that’s for sure. Many more years before we realize this.
