El Mencho's Daughter Is Set To Plead Guilty in US Courtroom

"MX" and "Parro" for Borderland Beat

Note: The news was reported by the Mexican media. Borderland Beat consulted the US Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) and was not able to confirm the existence of the attorney-issued petition.

The Mexican media announced this week that Jessica Johanna Oseguera Gonzalez ('La Negra'), the daughter of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes ('El Mencho'), is set to plead guilty to five criminal counts in a US courtroom. Her attorneys announced that they want to meet in court on March 22 or sooner for a plea deal.

El Mencho's daughter was arrested on February 2020 while she entered the court to attend the hearing of her brother Ruben Oseguera Gonzalez ('El Menchito'), who was extradited from Mexico to the US for his involvement in drug trafficking.

Jessica drove across the US–Mexican border into California. While making entry into the US, Jessica used her US passport (she has dual Mexican and US citizenship), which was scanned, and was directed to a secondary screening process. She was cleared and she continued to drive to California. She then flew from California to Washington, DC, where she was arrested.

The indictment charges her with five counts of "Engaging in Transactions or Dealings in Properties of a Designated Foreign Person". These are similar charges she faced in Mexico, which were litigated and she was found not liable.

The five-count indictment alleges that Jessica engaged in transactions or dealings in property or interests in property with five business entities, which have been designated by the US Department of the Treasury as Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers pursuant to the Kingpin Act. The businesses are alleged to provide financial support to, and are subject to the control of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The circled logos are the companies Jessica Oseguera Gonzalez managed on behalf of the CJNG.

The indictment alleges that Jessica continued her involvement with the businesses, J&P Advertising S.A. de C.V., JJGON S.P.R. de R.L. de C.V., Las Flores Cabanas, Mizu Sushi Lounge and Operadora Los Famosas S.A. de C.V., and Onze Black, after the sanctions were carried out by the US government in 2015.

Borderland Beat consulted US federal records through the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) and noticed that this attorney announcement was not available to the public by press time. Below is the US indictment issued against Jessica in 2020.

  1. You can say, "Set To Enter a Plea of Guilty", buut we can't "plea" guilty. We PLEAD guilty, when it's a verb. Bad headline, great story.

    1. Thank you! As a non-native English speaker, legal jargon often leaves me confused. Is it correct now? I've changed to "plead".

    8. @12:47 - Thank you, means a lot! There's no need to get upset/agitated. The power of feedback is very important. I'm not a professional reporter/translator so this is my chance to learn a new trade while doing something I love: researching about Mexico, hence my pen name.

    2. Unlike all the JEFES of factions of CDSNITCHaloa who have testified in court against there PADRES, COMPADRES, HERMANOS, HIJOS y GENTE, La Negra has simply plead Nolo Contendere or Guilty to the charges. She hasn't taken the WEENY step of the RATALOAS yet..

    3. Nolo does not argue the charges, it does not plead guilty or not guilty, prostiturers reccomend it to save everybody time and aggravation, it is like a chicharra, if the accused does not make waves he may get a better deal, you guys are supposed to be smarter.

    1. Right now Sicario006 and his crew are scoping out the possible transport route for when they take her to prison.

The plan is to barricade the transport with armored trucks, overpower the guards, and take her seat in a custom Blackhawk supplied by Mayo.

P.s. I am not Sicario006 nor a fan, just showing how easy it is pull out such absurd statements from thin air.

  5. If you really think about it, Jessica and Menchito have the option to reinvent their lives if given the chance. They are US citizens with chingos of money and won’t be deported (ie face severe danger). US gvt has an advantage with this but they have to play their cards well. I’d assume they will hold Menchito without a sentence for a while or give him a big sentence and then have him testify for a reduction.

    1. I like where you're going with this. More than likely her plea deal will include testifying against her brother or uncles. Either way, someone is going to be crucified.

  8. Any info on the possible arrest of La Rana in Tijuana a few days ago? Their caravan was intercepted by police and they took out a couple of sicas. I suspect they had actually arrested la Rana cause even the military was guarding the offices where he might have been taken. This was about 2 days ago.

  11. What a dumb ass she should have known the US government was going to get her dumb ass they are after their entire family of course they were going to get her she should have kept her ass in Jalisco and chilled. I assure you the charges she has against her are because of heresay a snitch said she moved x amount of drugs she took x amount of money ect. It is insane that the US is able to prosecute people just on here say. Not a gram of drugs was ever found on her and still she gets charged the American Legal system is as corrupt as Mexico's maybe even worse today.

  15. A couple days ago in a Sargy video a comment said La Negra had accepted to not contest her charges and receive a negotiated sentence. Her charges stem from the fact that she's a US citizen, no money laundering, trafficking, murdering, kidnapping etc, etc, who likely didn't report any income and by law has to report worldwide income to the IRS.
