"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A new video from the Mexican underworld has just surfaced online. In this film an individual by the name of Jacobo Perez Flores details his involvement for the armed criminal cell known as La Plaza (sometimes referred to as the Caborca Cartel).
Jacobo is an operative and leader for this criminal cell that is spearheaded by Rafael Caro Quintero.
Video translation is as follows:
Sicario: What’s your name?
Captive: Jacobo Pérez Flores.
Sicario: What do you specialize in?
Captive: I sell drugs in the valley of Guaymas, Empalme, Campo Santa Anita, Campo Santa Inés, Campo Nuevo, El 28, Campo 11, and Santa Maria.
Sicario: Which criminal cell do you belong to?
Captive: I belong to La Plaza.
Sicario: Who do you receive your orders from?
Captive: I receive my orders from 03, El Pitayo, El 01, Chuy, Rabano, and El Fino.
Sicario: Who gives you the drugs in the valley for you to sell?
Captive: It’s a former Municipal Policeman, Herman Urea Pestaño aka El 30.
Sicario: What other function does this former Municipal Policemen have?
Captive: He has a connect with the government.
Sicario: Who protects you in your area of operations?
Captive: I’m protected by El 70.
Sicario: El 70? What other job does El 70 do?
Captive: We call on him whenever we have operatives who change sides. They’re taken away to Ortiz (Ortiz, Sonora) and they immolate them in the burial sites there.
Sicario: Ok then. What about the camps, how do you go about going in there to sell drugs?
Captive: With the help of El 70 the guards and their bosses are threatened.
Sicario: Ok then. There’s rumors about how the women and female teenagers from the valley are taken from the fiestas and never seen again.
Captive: This is very true. We kidnap them and hand them over to El 70. And in turn El 70 takes them over to his bosses where they hold parties with them. Afterwards they’re returned and taken away to Ortiz. And they get immolated in the end. Never to be seen again.
Sicario: Well, there you have it, the contenders for this plaza. What a gang of fucking pigs kidnapping female teenagers.
