| The Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) seizes cocaine worth more than 103 million pesos ($4.9 million dollars) |
The seized drug weighed 418 kilograms (921 pounds) and was hidden in hidden boxes among a shipment of vegetable fat. The packages were transported aboard a truck from Gómez Palacio, Durango.
Elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), in charge of a military checkpoint in Janos, Chihuahua, secured 420 packages of a white powder with characteristics typical of cocaine, with a value of 103,011,310 pesos.
Inside 41 of 973 boxes of a shipment of frozen vegetable fat, attempts were made to hide the packages, the agency said.
Only one person was detained during the confiscation operation, carried out through the XI Military Region Command and the 5th Military Zone. The detainee will be made available to the Federal Public Ministry (MPF).

ReplyDeleteJanos has got to be Línea territory. If I remember correctly, it's a tiny, one Pemex town between A.P. and N.C.G. Seems like it would be bold, if not impossible, for others to bring that kind of load through there.

ReplyDeleteIt may seem as semantics, but fact is that there often are (significant) differences between what is 'found' and what is reported as 'found'.
Allow me to give my take on it. BB goes by what has been previously covered or mentioned by reliable sources. We may not add content solely because we believe it is true, nor delete or amend content that we believe is untrue, etc., unless these changes have been covered by reliable sources.
