Salamanca, Guanajuato: Fuel Thieves Inside Pemex Facility

Video translation is as follows:

The storage and distribution of Pemex were under the control of fuel thieves, who managed to illegally load fuel into the Supply and Distribution Terminals in the municipalities of Salamanca and San José Iturbide. And then commercialize it on the black market to the point that the State business fabricated an accident that occurred in 2017.

During his appearance before deputies of the Congress of Guanajuato, the state prosecutor Carlos Zamarripa released relevant data regarding how organized crime not only stole hydrocarbons from within the Salamanca Refinery in stolen pipes. But just as well even had the luxury of operating completely a Supply and Distribution Terminal (TAD) in the municipality of San José Iturbide.

The first event referred to by Zamarripa Aguirre was the one that occurred on March 15, 2017 when Petróleos Mexicanos recognized an accident at the TAD located next to the refinery in the municipality of Salamanca.

Subsequently, the State company made reference to the fact that three Pemex workers and five external workers were injured, of which the death of a woman was finally announced.

However, three years after the events it was announced that inside the TAD in Salamanca what actually happened is that inside its facilities there were people outside the company with a pipe with a report of theft, stealing fuel.
