"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A Capital policeman by the name of Jose de Jesus Tapia was murdered by a group of armed men as he was walking past them. The officer was a Municipal Policeman in the capital of San Luis Potosí (SLP).
His execution took place in the Nuevo Progreso neighborhood. On the road that leads to Guanajuato known as Camino Viejo to Guanajuato. The community of Nuevo Progreso lies just south east of the city’s center.
A cardboard narco message was found at the crime scene. The message has yet to be released to the public at this time. Sources are claiming that the Cartel del Noreste (CDN) was behind his murder.
