"Morogris" for Borderland Beat
Forensic specialists say that the victims were killed with AR-15 and AK-47s. No one has been arrested for the crime. |
Elements of the National Guard (GN) and municipal police located the lifeless bodies of five people on the side of the Coyotepec-Huehuetoca highway, in the municipality of Coyotepec, State of Mexico. The bodies had gunshot wounds and corresponded to two women and three men.
It was reported that the bodies were close and/or piled up next to each other. The had shots on the back of the head, and the first investigations report said that all five of them were shot dead at the scene.
Authorities say that the victims' ages ranged from 25 to 35 years old. The Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico reported that it is leading the investigation and analyzing the bullets found at the scene to give them a lead in the investigation.
The identity of the victims and the possible motives of the mass killing are unknown. But according to people familiar with the case, the killing was likely a "settling of scores" for huachicoleo (oil theft) or narcomenudeo (drug dealing).
Coyotepec is a municipality where a high number of illegal fuel extractions from criminal groups are registered. In February 2021, authorities informed about the extraction of a Pemex pipeline in the area. Personnel from the Mexican Navy reported that Pemex alerted them about a possible oil extraction gang in the rural community of San Juan, in Coyotepec.

Anything goes in Mexico, killed for trying to support themselves by selling fuel stolen.
ReplyDeleteHope cartel guys died
ReplyDeleteI regret to inform you, do to unforseen events..they were civilians trying to earn a living with everyone selling fuel.
DeleteSince they created GN, are there still federales? Or has it been all absorbed into GN? Complete chaos and cluster fuck.
ReplyDeleteImagine driving and you see bunch of dead bodies on the side of the road, unreal. Its not the first time either. Body parts thrown all over the road, bodies dumped in the middle of a busy road (Veracruz). Its hard to comprehend, but I am sure the regular folks are so use to it, they’re probably desensitized. Just another fun filled day in MX.
On another note - Usually in wars the conflict tends to slow down after the 5 year mark and upwards. Will MX “war on drugs” slow down, ever??? They must be eventually running out of bodies to recruit at some point. I mean there is a lot of deaths in MX. They can’t produce fast enough with how many people are constantly dying. I guess thats why we see a lot or younger kids as cannon fodders and gunmen. They’re at a point where they will take anyone who can hold a gun and pull the trigger.
I noticed one of the girls has tats on her fingers...
ReplyDeleteNo weapons to protect themselves. What a way to die.

DeleteThat was a little while back. US news always seems to be weeks if not months behind. Although this was reported in the US a little while back since an operation was busted in the US. The best place for news for us non Spanish speaking Americans is right here. I haven’t found a better news source that actually waits to put stories out after they have confirmed info from credible sources.
Delete11:09 I am sorry that US still uses donkeys to deliver news about Mexico. Fortunately we have BB to read, yes it felt wierd when they shut down temporary. Knowing there is always alot happening in Mexico.Obrador pays some news outlets in Mexico to only report good news, nothing about crime or homicides. We all know what goes on thanks to BB.
DeleteWhy are their pants always undone?
ReplyDeleteCartel victims are often tortured/beaten before they are killed. The so-called "tablazo" – the act of hitting someone with a "tabla" (board) – is usually done below the belt. In addition, killers often display their victims semi-naked as a form of humiliation.
DeleteMX you know so much about crimes.
DeleteYou can apply for Professor of criminality. Never knew why they have nude them. Easy for criminals to snuff a life in Mexico.
