Chihuahua State Police official Jesús Manuel Carrasco Chacón announced that three leaders of the Cartel del Tigre (also known as Gente Nueva del Tigre) are responsible for the latest homicides in Cuauhtémoc Municipality, Chihuahua. He asked citizens to help authorities by providing them with information that leads to their arrest.
The announcement came after authorities were able to secure an arrest warrant against these three suspects: Esgar Gamboa Sosa, alias El 11 and/or El Virolo; Jesús Omar Cortés Gutiérrez, alias La Changa and Víctor Hugo Vázquez, alias El Chilango.
Carrasco pointed out that they lead the cartel in the municipalities of Cuauhtémoc, Cusihuiriachi, Carichí, Nonoava and San Francisco de Borjas. He added that operations have been mounted in all those places to try to dismantle the criminal group, but they have not been able to arrest them, so he reiterated the need for citizen participation in the investigation.
He indicated that the three suspects head a criminal structure composed of more than 12 people who work as hitmen across Cuauhtémoc and its surrounding areas.
A few days ago, local sports promoter, Mario "El Abuelo" Pérez, was kidnapped and killed by suspected organized crime members based in Cuauhtemoc. Investigators said Perez was tortured and beaten to death, but the motives behind the killing remain unknown.

Edgar “11” Gamboa Sosa is the brother of Cesar “Cabo” Gamboa Sosa, who led this Gente Nueva faction before he was replaced by El Tigre. Edgar Gamboa Sosa has been arrested and released numerous times over the past few years.

DeleteIt is a typo. Edgar “11” Gamboa Sosa has been arrested numerous times over the last few years. Usually picked up for drug or weapons possession, so he has been quickly released every time.

ReplyDelete@6:23 this is a different group. This group was actually part of the Juarez Cartel and they started having problems. The Juarez Cartel killed this groups leader along with more sicarios in March 2017 and ever since then, they worked with the Sinaloa Cartel still beefing with the Juarez Cartel.
