Hector 'El Guero' Palma in 2016 |
Héctor "El Güero" Palma Salazar, one of the founders of the Sinaloa Cartel, was absolved from his drug trafficking charges by a judge in Jalisco and was ordered for immediate release.
Mexico's Attorney General's Office (FGR) is verifying if Palma is wanted in other states in Mexico before the judge proceeds with the release order. It also said that the order was sent to various prosecutors and attorneys' offices throughout the country, with the purpose of verifying if Palma has other pending charges. Mexico's Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE) is verifying if Palma has pending extraditions requests from the US government.
Last February, rumors surfaced that Palma was about to be released after a document surfaced on social media showing his prison release order. The document indicated that Palma – a native of Mocorito, Sinaloa – was about to be released. But the authenticity of the document was quickly called into question and discarded as fake.
It is worth nothing that Palma is still under investigation for the murder of two police officers in Nayarit, but investigators confirmed that this investigation is still its preliminary stages (Spanish: desahogo judicial). This means the prosecution is still gathering evidence against Palma and vetting them with a judge prior to issuing a formal arrest warrant. This investigation is not enough to keep him in prison.
Earlier this year, Palma's sister-in-law and niece were found dead after they had been missing since December 2019. If the person(s) who masterminded the attack hold a grudge against Palma, a release will likely put him in immediate danger.
Background
Palma was born in La Noria de Abajo, municipality of Mocorito, Sinaloa, where he met Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, ('The Godfather'), who recruited him as a hitman. He eventually met Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán and both became business partners.
In 1995, he was arrested while heading to a wedding on his private jet. While flying his jet suffered engine problems and he had to do a forced landing near the Jalisco and Nayarit state borders. His arrest confirmed what many Mexicans had long known: in Mexico, the police are for sale and drug lords are purchasing them. When Palma was arrested, most of his entourage were active members of the Federal Judicial Police (PJF).
Palma was imprisoned at the Federal Social Readaptation Center No. 2 ("Puente Grande"), the infamous prison where El Chapo escaped in 2001. In Mexico, Palma won several appeals and had his charges dropped multiple times.
However, in 2007, Palma was extradited to the U.S. and sentenced for his drug trafficking involvement. He was deported back to Mexico in 2016 and was re-arrested by Mexican authorities who were waiting for him at the border crossing.

His a sad case and cautionary tale that, alas, heed would not be taken, unfortunately.

He was unmasked years ago.
DeleteHaha he is dosed out
DeleteCan’t believe morons believe his nonsense smh
Delete4:53..believe who nonsense? Og shadow? Foo shut your poser mouth little boy. wtf are you doing reading narco shit anyway.read news that applies to you and your lifestyle.trying to put people down like if you know shit more than other people. You ain't got no experience or knowledge with this shit. You ain't never been to Culiacan or anywhere else in Sinaloa and you never will go there. You ain't never put in no work boyy
DeleteOG Shadow is an imposter calling stories he read as his own. What a phony.
Delete@8:50 Relax dude, don´t get all triggered up! OG shadow is full of BS.
Delete@8:50 found the OG shadow groupie. I’m glad people are realizing he is a scam.
Delete850 ouch! I must have hit a nerve! Lmao you prolly sold a few grams and know somebody’s cousin brother uncles gardener that’s in the game and you think you’re pesado you prolly roll up to the mariscos joint in your car that has the check engine light on with a Hugo boss shirt that you wear often lmao. Don’t worry about where I’ve been worry about where you’ll NEVER BE
Delete850 got bodied lmao
DeleteI'm glad to see this real ol school narco get his freedom...may no harm come to him
ReplyDeleteRCQ helping the old guard get out of prison? Will he go back to TJ and finish off the CAF? Who will he side with, Mayo or Chapitos? Or Maybe with RCQ in Sonora.
ReplyDeleteLol man u think ppl still keep in touch with you once u away for a couple years sure some family might but life moves on and his best mate was El Chapo and I don't think Chapitos feel like they owe him anything hopefully he lives a quiet life from now on dude suffered enough
Delete1:53 shows what you know. El Guero Palmas family is still active in the Cartels. Many of his primos are active members. You seem to be confusing prison life in Mexico to prison life in USA. Get your head out your ass. This guy has grudges to finish.
Delete@5:22 True input, also, even in USA prison is just another school of crime.
Delete5:22 miguel angel felix gallardo should wash his ass, he sent venezuelan mincemeat rafail clavel to work on Güero Palma's wife and kids,
Delete5:22 you watch too many novelas and being from where he’s from who doesn’t have a cousin or 2 in the game. If he’s smart he’ll lay low and take care of whatever family he has left
DeleteWhat makes you think Rafa was closer to Guero than Chapo was..?
Delete@4:58 he should have but couldn't. By the time he sent in the Venezuelan EL Guero and El Chapo had Sinaloa on lock and had the power there. So he couldn't just send gunman in there to take him out. @8:09 RCQ brother MCQ had the Sonora Cartel and when the plazas were split El Guero got SLRC. I'm sure they worked together. I'm sure there is a connection between the two.
Delete5:04 you seem to be clueless in this cause RCQ was in prison for 20+ years and went straight back into the game. Get your head out your ass.
DeleteThis dude is no joke and will be looking for payback. Apparently he used to throw people to his lions at parties.
ReplyDeleteIf such power why didn't he order it from prison?
DeleteBotas Blancas. Salue viejo.
