La Oficina Cartel Threatens And Accuses Mexican Army General of Corruption

"Narcomappingmx" for Borderland Beat

A narcomessage left in Guadalajara, Jalisco accuses retired Mexican army general and
current Police Comissioner of Guadalajara, Luis Arias González of accepting a bribe of 1,200,000 pesos ($67,000 USD), and then not fulfilling his end of the bargain.

Banner translation:

General Luis Arias you continue without fulfilling agreements, was the 1,200,000 (pesos) which we provided you through 03 Romero not enough? No be like a dumbass who takes money and doesn't finish the task (.) Don't be a dick and this is for you 03 Munguia Game 1 Guerra 03 Fernando.

Rio Nilo and Chapalita do not forget

From: La Oficina

Police Comissioner Luis Arias González

The narcomessage was found near the Comisaría de la Policía de Guadalajara and was accompanied by a severed pig head in a bucket.

"Chapalita" likely refers to a law enforcement operation in Chapalita, Jalisco on April 20, 2021 where 33 CJNG members were captured after a shootout which left 4 alleged cartel gunmen dead.

"Rio Nilo" also likely refers to a shootout where two gunmen were killed and two police officers were wounded on April 5, 2021.

"03 Munguia", "Game 1", "Guerra 03 Fernando" likely refer to other police officers.

  1. You’re right that La Oficina is a name for BLO but it’s also one of those generic terms that can be used by any organization. Clearly it’s a message by CJNG. If it was BLO, why would they care about police operations against CJNG.

    3. @11:17AM you’re welcome. La Barredora, and La Empresa are also other terms that are used by certain cartels but also generic terms that are sometimes used by other cartels as not to take credit under their name and avoid law enforcement attention. Good article by the way. Hope to see more in the future.

    4. La oficina in Colombia is unrelated to the one in Mexico.

    5. Yes I have encountered groups using "La Barredora" quite a bit.

Right now there is a group by that name that is active in Tabasco. I believe it is distinct from another group operating in Caborca, Sonora, although both go by "Barredora 24/7". Very confusing.

  11. In every cartel specially big ones theres an "oficina" just like "barredora" which mean street swiper which also mean ak47, theres also a guy who says he is "la mera verga, el papa de los pollitos, el jefe de jefes, el mero mero"
Yes we heard BLO use the term la oficina first but it had been use before they even split from cds! Theres even a song from gerardo ortiz who says something about if you got any complains about me "diganmelo en la oficina"
Those types of word are used so that not every body knows who you are or who you work for, in the narco message who ever it was sent to will know who wrote it! And most of us stay thinking they are talking about a cartel called la "oficina, la barredora" and so on
