"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
This Monday for Mother’s Day on May the 10th. Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, commonly referred to by his alias El Mencho, handed out gifts for the local mothers.
An armed criminal cell known as comandos in Mexico arrived in a caravan to distribute their presents.
A variety of generic appliances were gifted to the women. Comforters to keep warm at night can also be seen within their donations.
The moms gladly accepted the offerings that the Cartel Jalisco New Generation hitmen gave them. They even went so far as to pose for the camera showing their gratitude.

thanks for the post, Sol. question to everyone. i feel like these propaganda campaigns have been more constant since the pandemic started, right? El Vaquero from the CDG was the first to do it last year, then even Z45, Sinaloa, and CJNG followed suit. i think this populist approach is here to stay...
