"HEARST" for Borderland Beat
On June 9 2021, uniformed officers of the Michoacan Police were driving along the road that leads in between El Ojo de Agua and La Ladera doing routine patrol surveillance of the area. At approximately 4:10 pm in the afternoon, the officers were shot at by unknown armed men.
The officers repelled their attack and requested backup. Municipal Police, National Guard, Secretary of National Defense (SEDENA) and State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) personnel all arrived at the location in order to provide support to the attacked officers. A shootout between the attackers and the security forces personnel then ensued, lasting for several minutes.

The attackers then fled west, in the direction of the town of Ojo de Agua. The attackers took refuge inside a house, trying to regroup. The security personnel began a search operation to find where the attackers had fled to.
When they managed to locate the property the attackers had hidden inside, another shootout between the two groups occurred. Security forces personnel managed to win the engagement and apprehend the remaining attackers. The end result of the two shootouts is 6 dead and 6 arrested cartel members.
Two of the six arrested were injured so they were taken to a hospital to receive medical attention. They are José Alfonso ‘N’, alias “El Poncho”, 17 years old from Atecucario and Alfonso Eduardo ‘N’ 16 years old from El Porvenir.

Both Primera Plana and Cuarto Poder report that El Gucci is a leader of a regional Caballeros Templarios (CT), or Knights Templar group. GTN reports his CT cell is a part of Carteles Unidos. He is believed to be behind local extortion, de piso (fee to do business) collection, homicides and drug dealing in the Zamora municipality area.

Rough day for Carteles Unidos. CJNG hit them in Tarecuato killing 4 with pictures but they are saying 9. In a Rancho that is called Rancho Grande where El Abuelo, El Tena and El Boto were having a meeting to discuss their plan of attack and how to deal with the people that are flipping on them. Their is a video of a burning monstro with 2 visible burned bodies and what appear to be more once the Jaliscos look inside the vehicle counting 4 or more. Their are brains splattered on the ground so that is 1 or 2 more.

Not a stupid question at all! It is meant to hide their identity until they have been found guilty in a court of law.
DeleteThe use of 'N' or another letter is a part of Mexico's New Criminal Justice System (Nuevo Sistema de Justicia Penal, NJSP), passed in 2016, which has certain recommendations (possibly requirements on some issues) on how media in Mexico can report on suspects in order to provide protection to the accused until they have been found guilty. It is also why you often see censor bars on suspects eyes in photos. I personally try find their full names and uncensored photos when I can but its not always possible.

quick question is it possible the cjng in some parts are actually military or are certain actions taken by certain elements of the military that they may not be able to do it the light of day but later blamed on the cjng?
idk just seems interesting in some areas their interests seem to line up much to well..
