Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas: 9 Dead in Armed Confrontation Between Northeast Cartel and Gulf Cartel

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Tamaulipas citizens woke up this morning to the aftermath of an armed confrontation between opposing cartels that took place in the early dawn.

The armed attack between the Northeast Cartel (Cartel del Noreste, CDN) and the Gulf Cartel (Cartel del Golfo, CDG) has left 9 criminals killed and abandoned on the town's main street of Miguel Aleman.

It’s unknown which group the deceased belong to at this moment.

Currently the CDG versus CDN war is being disputed in this area for the control of illicit trafficking into the United States.

  1. Huevo needs to be stopped, those nuevo laredo carjackings are too frequent now, i wonder how much a cdn pistolero gets paid.

    1. Maybe because these are the most important border plazas

    2. There's billions in drug shipments at stake in these border towns.

  3. judging by early hours, I assume it was an incursion from the foreign group, CDN. CDG controls the plaza. Leader is Alvaro R-8 and Primito.

    1. I've read in many comments, los guerra outskirts is under CDN, even that road that leads to los aldama N.L where national guard members got ambushed by CdN. So is the road from Peña Blanca N.L to Comalez Tamaulipas is under CdN.

  4. I don’t think cdg would leave their dead in the street if they control the plaza but who knows

    1. Other videos surfaced, they are gulf cartel gunmen who got abandoned and no back up was sent to rescue them..CdN even posted a mocking video

If not mistaken that's between Miguel aleman and camargo. Haven't been through there since 2007

  7. A friend from the area says that the locals are saying the bodies belong to Z.

Miguel Aleman is going thru a change in Municipal President (Mayor). Seems like old one was supporting the CDG, and the new one is pending.

    1. I was told it was CDN too. We've also reported in the past that the modus operandi of the CDN is to attack early. I'm surprised they made it past Los Guerra since they usually clash there with CDG forces. If you come across more info, please let me know. Thank you.

    3. Chapo Isidro is helping Cdn . Chapo Isidro goes in and he will take you out . It’s happening all over Mx . They don’t want Cjng anywhere now that cjng supposedly is helping cdg .

    4. @1:03 - Based on my notes, I have a shootout reported between CDN and security forces in Anahuac, NL, on September 2020. That's the latest news I have from there. I don't have any on CDG since many years before, so the plaza is likely under CDN control.

    5. 3:04 the local plasa government will firmly and uncategorically deny it is under any cartel control.

    1. 9:27 the only pay they receive is they get to live IF they join for free Maruchan and a weapon on credit, if they refuse the magnificent offer it can only be because they are enemy combatants, worthy of torture and execution.

  9. Cdn advancing further into metro territory while they are infighting you would never see cdg enter cdns territory in convoys

    1. CDN has sicarios to spare. CDG Metros has too much to worry about. Also, let’s be realistic. Laredo will always be CDN. Why put resources in a plaza that would never be yours? It would have to turn into a Juarez for it to maybe turn CDG. And look at Juarez, it never really became a plaza for one group.

    2. Guess so CDN is attracting lot of heat Laredo, so they mau try to divert their heat to other plazas or may ran out of chances to make money in Laredo, moving to CDG plazas. Either way I just want to see both these scum cartels to die. Is CDG on their own in tamualipas ? Or they were being financed by cjng.

    3. CDN has to deal with military at their plaza and CDG on their push east, both are costing lives, CDG has to deal with the Matamoros/Rio Bravo incursions the military, the internal disputes.. in 2 years of this continues CDN will be controlling the west side of Reynosa, I just don’t see it any other way

    4. Cdn cant even enter la frontera chica without getting shot up. To be fair they have won a few battles but mostly they lose so theyre not going to control no parts of reynosa. They cant even take miguel aleman.

      Delete
    5. Oh also the metros of reynosa are not infighting el primito has control of reynosa and his brother i believe controls la frontera chica which is the territory between reynosa and nuevo laredo. Plus el comandante choco was just killed and he was the most powerful leader of los metros outside el primito. The rest of the comandantes cldnt do shit and hevent done shit about it.

    6. CDN not taking reynosa bro.

  11. Ok so one gang is going to have to defeat all the others, or the drugs they are all selling have to be decriminalized. Neither alternative is likely. So, it's going to be more of the same for the next 50-100 years

  17. These guys i swear if someone would have just thrown a soccer ball in the middle of all the mayhem they all might still be alive and the locals would have gotten to witness one hell of a footbal match some would have sold churros and fried their little ice creams and everyone could have been friends again . So sad I blame the soccerball people for not doing more !

  20. Please make time to watch the series "SOMOS" on Netflix called . I was shocked and sad about what I saw and how close it was to everything I've read regarding this story. The events in the series actually happen in Allende, Coahuila MX. The main character's name was "Don Alejo" and the only thing changed from the actual story. Sadly, this is very typical all over MX, especially along the northern areas of Mexico and along the Mexican border. The information reported regarding the number of disappearances is not accurate or even close to the actual facts. Massive amounts of children and innocent people are disappearing on daily basis and never be seen again. No one ever looks for them, not the police or any other government office. Mexico was a vibrant country and a major tourist attractions. Now? Mexico is dying at a very slow pace and people are running due to fear for their children and the lack of jobs and resources due to the current situation.
